The Marmot Women's Montreal Coat is a down coat for exploring winter cities. The Montreal uses 700 fill down that has been treated with Down Defender for moisture resistance. The high power down keeps the jacket lightweight, without sacrificing warmth. The interior is lined with fleece for cozy softness against the body with micro fleece internal cuffs to deter pesky drafts from being sent up your arms. Slip your hands into the lined side pockets for even more toasty micro fleece to turn up the heat. The outside pockets, as well as one of the interior pockets, zip shut to prevent wallet, keys, or your gloves from making a trip into a puddle of slush. Cover the tops of your legs (tush, butt, posterior, ect) with this mid-length coat for a winter without the chills.
Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.
Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.
Marmot Down Defender
Marmot Down Defender helps prevent down from clumping when exposed to water or moisture. This allows it to keep its loft, which equates to greater insulation. Nothing will stop the specially treated, highly water-resistant down from trapping warm air next to your body.

My true loveI bought this coat at least 5 years ago, and I can’t live without it. It’s so warm on Christmas trips to NYC and Chicago, and it is a lifesaver during outdoor December football games, even in the South. Buying one right now for my daughter in Virginia for this outdoor COVID year. All
Of her college gatherings are outside because of the virus. I wear a 2-4, small in clothes and love my medium coat. I typically don’t buy things oversized, and I would not describe this medium as oversized for me. Also, I’ve never seen another coat with this many pockets, and they are eperfectly placed, no phone shape on the front of my chest, like some coats. :)

Hood won't fly off and is a great ear muffI've had this coat about three weeks now and we've already experience below zero wind chill and this coat is wicked warm! BEST COAT I've ever owned. You actually experience warmth with this down coat compared to some others and the length is perfect. The hood is snug fitting so it won't fly off your head in windy weather and snug enough you can put half way down to act as an ear muff. Perfect for me since I hate to wear hats. The added fleece lining inside and in your arms stops the chill! This is going to keep me warm all winter! Next year a new color!!! Perfect. Thanks Marmot

Overall great coatI like a lot of things about this coat. The fleece lining, the zippers (they're good quality), the insulated hood which fits perfectly around my head, the pockets, and the length (I am 5'1 and this falls about two ins above my knees) What I'm concerned about is the fit. I am 123 lbs and when I have this size Small on, it feels like I have no room to wear a heavier sweater. I most likely will not need a heavy sweater with this because it is feels warm, but one does not know with Canadian winters. I will try to lose weight and see if it will fit better, otherwise I will be returning for a medium and I hope it will be available in this colour.

Narrow shoulders, tight armsI'm 5'8", 150 lbs with a slim, athletic build and I ordered a medium. It was way too small, but really only in the shoulders and chest, everything else (length, waist, hips) fit perfectly. It was a very odd fit and I don't have particularly broad shoulders. I couldn't hold my arms out in front of me without feeling like I was going to hulk out of the jacket. Too bad, because it was a beautiful color, great length, and very warm. I would have returned it for a large, but was too concerned that I would have the same issues just with more room where I didn't need it.

In love!I had planned on buying this coat in dark steel for myself this Christmas but was shocked when I realized it had already sold out everywhere in the size small! Luckily, I was able to find it in black, which is a close second to the dark steel I wanted, and was fortunate enough to get the last one in stock. It arrived the Friday before the crazy Winter Vortex we experienced in the Midwest with -40F wind chills and I couldn't be more thankful. Have not had any issues with the wind, even though it doesn't have a wind-resistant exterior shell, and love how warm the huge hood keeps my face and head. Only thing I can complain about is it being too warm and wanting to sport it even when it's not quite cold enough... Thank you, Marmot!

I love this coat!I live in Chicago and am very picky when trying to pick out the perfect down coat. I did my research and tried 3 different coats. This coat was what I've been looking for.
I am 5'4" and 165lbs. I got the XL as the L would be snug if I wore a sweater. The length of the coat lies just above my knees, unlike the Montreaux that falls approximately 6" past my knees. This coat provides me the warmth while commuting to/from work in this windy city. It is lghtweight, stylish and very comfortable. I've gotten a lot of compliments and I had over a year now. It's pricey but definitely a good investment for winter. I know two other people have this same coat and they love it too.

Montreal coat not made the sameI bought a montreal coat in black in 2015 it was one of the best thick and warm coats over time it got thin and discolored so I decided to get a new one in a different color. I got the green crocodile these coat are not the same they are much thinner now I went outside in 30 degree weather and found myself cold after 30-40 mins of being outside. The one I had before this one was thicker and warmer. I’m still keeping the coat because I love the color and the style but I will need to buy a warmer coat to get thru the winter. This coat is not good for weather below 40 degrees

Great coat for the cold!I had bought this coat over a month ago. I am extremely happy with it. I bought the green colored one and was a little skeptical on the color but it was really nice! It is not a straight coat and has a flare to it to make it look feminine. We live in the Chicago area and I just took a job where I have to work part time outside. I have not been cold yet. This is definetly the warmest coat I have ever owned. I would highly recommend it! Since then I have purchased 2 more Marmot coats for my family and all have been warm and have a nice quality.
