Marmot WarmCube Insulation

Marmot WarmCube
WarmCube technology is an innovative design that takes your down or synthetic insulation to the next level. Whether it's inside a jacket or sleeping bag, WarmCube construction will warm you up faster when compared to traditional horizontal baffles. The plush 3D cubes mold to the body, create channels of warm air between the cubes to boost thermal efficiency, and also keep your insulation from shifting around to prevent cold spots. It's like you're wearing an igloo that's super duper comfortable.

Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only "cold day" jacket ill ever need! I have spent a lot of time searching for down filled jackets or "warm" jackets for those cold days, in the past I've had a few jackets hold up to the cold test but not so much with the wind. The warm cube technology with something new to me that I hadn't explored before, but I figured I would give it a shot. Upon receiving this jacket I took it out in a few different scenarios - I took it skiing in the middle of the day in the sunshine with cold temps, I took it out on a cloudy day where we had just recieved a bunch of fresh snow, for a winter hike, all degree temperatures of probably 20 or less, and it performed so well! Even the wind the put up a good fight but failed to make me cold. Occasionally id get toasty but letting the arms vents down were easy for regulation! I wasn't cold at all - which is a HUGE plus for me, I could literally sit and roll around in the snow and stay toasty warm if I had wanted. I wore this layer with a thin long sleeve, my marmot mid layer (fleece-ish) and then the jacket! This will likly end up being my all winter jacket, even for those cold touring days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One and done [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first Marmot purchase. I am impressed. I needed a warm jacket that kept me dry and the wind out. I especially wanted warmth at my upper back and neck. The fabric appears to be sturdy, the down filled cubes works great, and the reach and full flexibility of arm sleeves are amazing. Zips up easily. Based on measurements, XL should have left room for sweater, but 38DD, 5’4”, 175lbs only thin sweater works. Sleeves good length, covers lower back well. Feels kind of weighty but once on, perfectly balanced and not too heavy. Can really move in this. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Negative Temperature Warmth This jacket is the best winter jacket I've had. It has been keeping me perfectly warm, even in the Canadian negative temperatures I've been wearing it in. I got an ember on it by the campfire last night and the jacket wasn't effected at all, unlike the mountain hardwear ghost whisperer I was rocking for a couple years in which the thin material would get many holes just from walking through the woods and brushing against branches and such. It also would get me soaked, even with a light rain, but this warmcube has been through so much rain, cold, freezing temps and it's been so hardy and resilient. The pockets are perfectly distributed with ease of accessibility and the zippers are excellent. Everything about the warmcube is great and I'm so glad I bought it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the shapely profile of this jacket! Just got this jacket for next ski season. I’m cold blooded and so excited to try this out! It was warm just trying it on! I’m usually a small but thought I’d size up and so glad I did. The medium is perfect and I can wear light layers or bulkier layers if I choose. It has a feminine profile which I like. I love the fact that the hood zips off! Chose the arctic Blue so it won’t show dirt. It’s a pretty blue and will work with any color ski pants. So far, I’m happy with my purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warmcube jacket - runner up [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am almost always cold when skiing, so I purchased a few coats to try. If this had fit me better, I would have kept it, I bet it is seriously warm. But it was a bit long on me, so I ended up with the Helly Hansen Alphelia jacket. I love the idea of warm down compartments though... if you do not have a short torso like me this might just be the jacket for you!
