The Merrell Men's Moab Speed Thermo Mid Waterproof Boot is an insulated hiking boot for exploring trails through cold weather. A combination of full grain waterproof leather at the upper with a waterproof membrane to back it up keeps snow, snowmelt, and rain out. Durable against trail debris, with a luggy outsole comprised of Vibram Icetrek that grips all sorts of terrain, plus snow and ice. Inside, a fleece lining increases the heat, while 200g PrimaLoft Gold Eco synthetic insulation provides the bulk of the warmth.

I ordered my normal size but when they arrived I found them to be quite tight. Believing that this was as a result of them being new I wore them to work a couple of times and they did not seem to loosen. I reached out to Merrell and was told that because I had worn them nothing could be done. My only problem with this is how does one know that they will be on tight side. It seems that even though Merrell are part of the same group as Cat Footwear the parent company being Wolverine their sizes differ.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please remove "waterproof" from the title After wearing Keen hikers for a few seasons I wanted a change. These fit very well and are super comfortable. However, after 4 trips through fields with morning dew these are as waterproof as the Titanic at the bottom of the ocean. If you like comfortable hikers and soaked socks these are the hikers for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t hesitate! These are not only extremely Comfortable but are New England durable. Huge puddle? Snow? Torrential rain? Doesn’t matter, these will keep your feet warm & dry, and you won’t fall on your face from slipping on any surface. Money well spent for sure

The shoes came in and were amazing design but day two of some light hiking and the buckles on the top shoe lace holders came loose. By day 4 one of them was completely gone. I hope my shoe was a defect but I had to send them back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all purpose boot From the muddy creek trails of Providence Canyon Georgia, to the mile high Lakes of San Bernardino. These boots have seen it all. I have put 150 miles and countless climbs. In treacherous rock canyons , deep mud swamps. These boots are very comfortable lightweight and extremely rugged. Highly recommended!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Merrell is cutting corners It's a fine shoe, very comfy, but the metal eyelet on the inside rubs my ankle and it hurts. The one spot in the entire shoe with no cushion and it rubs my ankle and hurts. Very disappointed, because I was really looking forward to these shoes.
