Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light & Comfortable, No Break-In Time I was pleasantly surprised when I took a break-in hike on 4 miles of varying hilly & rocky terrain. I was expecting the usual blisters and pains you get with new hiking shoes, but it never happened! The weight threw me off a little at first - my former hiking sneakers were much heavier so I lost my footing a few times. Now I'm used to the very light weight, I LOVE IT! So much more control over my own feet! The sizing is a little larger than expected - I am a 10.5 and I ordered a 10 which fits just right. The toe box is larger which allows room for thick socks, but if you don't wear thick socks your toes may slide around. Its tougher in the heat but incredible in the colder weather! Best hiking shoes I've ever owned!!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok but would not buy again I bought these to use as lightweight summer hiking shoes for shorter overnight or weekend trips. I have a pair of Merrell All Out Crush and they are the absolute best shoes ever. They are extremely comfortable, fit 100% true to size, lots of toe room, amazing grip, quick dry and breathable. Did I say AMAZING grip? I wear them fishing on jetties, hiking steep trails with slick rock, and trail running. They are even comfortable enough for backpacking. I love the grip so much, I never wear them on asphalt or anywhere off trail/activity so I can preserve the soles. I can't find them anywhere, so to preserve my precious shoes, I decided to buy these to rotate out. The lug pattern is similar and I hoped they would function similarly, too. About these shoes: Narrow toebox, I had to size up to an 8.5. The gel insole is not as comfortable as the minimalist All Out Crush. The grip is quite good but not as reliably grippy as the shoes I am comparing these to. I sometimes slip on wet smooth rock, which I honestly can't recall ever doing with the Crushs. When they get wet, they take forever to dry. I do not have the waterproof version. My feet do not get very sweaty in these, which is nice, but the slow dry time, narrow toe box, and uncomfortable sole just really detract from these shoes. I now use these for my fast-pace active job. I will be taking to used clothing apps and sites to try to buy up a couple of pairs of All Out Crush as stand by for mine as I will not buy these shoes again. I really hope Merrell makes something like those shoes again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight but sturdy I really love these shoes. I am always looking for a lightweight hiking shoe as I find heavy boots uncomfortable. This is a lightweight shoe that is also sturdy. It has a reinforced toe that really comes in handy. Also, even though these shoes are not waterproof, I stepped in water by accident and it didn’t soak through. The shoes broke in easily. I just took a few walks around my neighborhood and they were ready for show time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome shoes These shoes are awesome. I ordered a 7.5 (I am usually between a 7.5/8 depending on the shoe) and with hiking socks they fit perfectly. I wore them to hike in Montana and did almost 40 miles - no blisters and so comfortable!! I highly recommend these shoes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hiking shoe I loved the design of these hiking shoes online and fell in love more when I got them in and took them on my first hike! I’m a true 7.5, but often times I have to go up to an 8 in shoes. I read the reviews that these ran slightly big so I went for the 7.5 and I’m glad I did because they fit perfect. My first hike I did a lot of incline on dirt and lose rock and these shoes made me feel safe and gripped perfectly! Can’t wait to wear them on more adventures!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Uncomfortable Narrow and shorter than usual. Hurts my toes. Bought them for twelve hour shifts. Cant send them back so will have to bandage to wear them. Quality materials bought them a couple stars.
