Great hiking shoe!I’m not one to typically write a review on a product, but i am BLOWN AWAY! First of all how quick i received the product i was very impressed. This is my first pair of Merrell’s. I ordered the Alverstone waterproof shoes last Monday they arrived Thursday afternoon. I had zero time to break them in other than i had them on for maybe 20 minutes in the house. I headed out to Georgia the following day for a weekend full of hiking. I love the arch support i have a skinny/narrow high arched foot so these really work for me. They are extremely comfortable and light weight. I love the color and style of the shoe! I’ve had zero problems/no hurting feet and i really put them to the test with yesterday’s hike. I’d highly recommend this quality shoe to anyone! Merrell you have a new customer for life!

Great sturdy, comfortable shoeJust received them today and right out of the box, took my lunchtime mile ramble on a trail up the hill behind my home. I love that there is no breaking in period! Fit is snug, great support and thought I would not like the higher heel, but I do! The only con to this shoe is adjusting the laces to tie them. I had a hard time pulling the laces up snug enough (due to hand dexterity issues) and the tongue is very thick - but once I got them to feel right, they stayed in place. I did have a bit of debris when I took them off, but not a handful like my old hikers. Can't wait to test the waterproof feature. Highly recommend!

Not as expectedI received my shoes a couple of weeks ago. They were snug but I thought I would give them a try. Wore them that night a work. Feet hurt so bad by the end of the night. These have no padding at all. Tried them the next day with two layers of padding. Feet still hurt at the end of the night. And they say these are water proof not barely at all. And also after having these a short time there are stings coming out of the side. So they are already falling apart. So disappointed in these shoes.

Good for many milesTook a two week vacation where I hiked probably 100 miles. Comfortable, good grip, kept my feet dry on one very wet and muddy hike.

Great Shoe!My boyfriend got me these the day before a month long camping/hiking trip. I never had to break them in and ended up wearing them everyday. So comfy and breathable, with a great high arch. I would suggest to purchase a half size up. Highly recommend!

Great!I have been wearing this shoe for over a week, and it is doing great! It has a cushioned heel, wonderful arch, and it holds my heel closely which I need for plantar fasciitis. I got caught in a rainstorm when they were only a couple of days old, and they proved to be worthy of their claim to be waterproof! I was really glad for that! Haven't tried them on a trail yet, but with their tread, I can imagine they will work quite well.
