Styling has changed. Not in a good way.I have purchased this same shoe for a few years, and will get new ones when the older get a little shabby. This year I did the same, and noticed right away the styling/shape etc had changed to incorporate obvious seaming down the front/sides and a more bulbous toe. It now resembles my old everyday Merrell "clog-like" shoe which is comfortable but LOOKS LIKE A CLOWN SHOE.
My previous Encore Ice were a bit slimmer/streamlined, no obvious seaming and none of the cheap looking cross stitching. I see no reason to buy a "cute" shoe that is no longer cute. I'm not sure if comfortable, it did seem a bit wider and fleece lining a bit thinner.

Go back to old syle with real woolI see where quite a lot of you are having the same problem as I am. Here is what happened from a 69yr old woman that’s wore Merrill’s. Ever since they came out. The first clogs that came out over a decade+ago always use really thick and REAL WOOL not this faux stuff of today. With the extra comfort of the wool the shoe. Offered us who wear
2-3AA a shoe that finally fit.then they redesigned to this encore ice thang and they haven’t been worth a darn. Last ones I bout was at Merrill’s factory outlet and I bought all of the old styles they had in my size. So my suggestion to Merrill is go back to the beginning!!! I will be there first day buying you out

do not fit wellI bought these excited to have a new pair of my beloved old Merrells with the fuzzy inside and the very comfortable heel cup and support. These simply do not measure up to what I have experienced from Merrell in the past. The first pair was way to big, so I returned them and ordered a size smaller. They are still too wide, there is no support, the heel cup is non- existent and the fuzzy inside is thin and hard. I am very sorry, as I was looking forward to wearing these all winter. I will return this pair, second try, still does not fit, PLEASE return to the form, shape, and makers who used to build these shoes.

Shoes toowide for my feet, wouldn't stay on heels.Looks like a great wearing shoe, well made and attractive, but unfortunately didn't fit my feet. Because I have very flat feet....when you have no arch, the foot elongates.....I've been wearing a size 12 medium width. I hoped that maybe the size 11 wide might make up for some of the length I need. Well, I never thot about the heel, which was waaaay too wide and every time I took a step the shoe fell down off of my heel. I was very disappointed.
Request: Please make more size 12 women's shoes. I love the arch support in Merrell's. I have several pairs of sandals in size 11 which fit due to the open toes and love the arch support.

Not the Same As Previous YearsThese shoes must have been made somewhere different than in the past and they must be using different materials. I have had 4 pair of these over the years and have loved them in the winter. They are rugged , extremely warm ( even with bare feet in New England) and they are often all I need on a winter day. These seem cheaply made, they run MUCH bigger, and the fur is thinner and chintzy. I get frustrated with companies who have a great product and try to keep the price the same or less by cutting back on quality and detail. I would rather pay a bit more and maintain the previous excellent quality.

Encore ice 4 new & mehI returned these. They changed the product from a few years ago. I have a narrow foot & Merrell is my go to because they fit like glove. Not this time. Far too loose. The sheepskin fleece is thinner, felt cheaper. I had a pair from about 2016 in black leather & they were amazing. Start making those again & I’ll buy 2 of every color so I don’t have to live without them like I do now. I’m sad Merrell. Please reconsider the old model. Call ‘em retro or classic or something & just charge more, idk, I’m not in marketing, just a suggestion. I’m sad. A dog ate one of the old pair I had for years. I bet it was delicious.

Not the same MerrellsI have had several pairs of these over the years. The last two pairs I ordered are not up to Merrell standards or mine. They are really wide and big. The old style hugged my foot. I bought a black leather pair and thought it was maybe a difference between leather and suede. I just got a new pair of suede and I couldn't be more disappointed. They do not fit like my usual 7.5. I'm afraid if I went down a half size, they would just be too short and still too wide. If I had wanted wide width, I would have ordered it. The lining is different too, not as plush. The foot bed insert wouldn't stay in place just to try them on. For the money, I can't keep them.

Looks niceI’ve been wearing these for years!! Like most have commented, the sizing is completely off now. Last pair I bought in store they only had a size 11, but I got them anyway and they were fine, I wear a size 10 shoe, so I ordered the 10 and a half and yes they do run big but still fit good. My real complaint is what did you guys do to the inside of the shoe. They used to be the most comfortable and when I would put my foot in them they was very comfortable insoles, like memory foam in there. These ones are like concrete no cushion in them whatsoever. Very disappointed in that. They are definitely not as comfortable as they used to be. Not happy that I bought 2 pairs hoping for a warm comfortable slipper/shoe for the winter.
