Not as wide as beforeI bought my first pay of Moab wide with a couple years ago and was so delighted to find a shoe that fit my wide forefoot and high arch beautifully. The sole was wearing down so tried to replace shoe and this time I went with the waterproof model. Same size 8:5 W. But right out of the box I could see the width is not the same. Narrowed the toe a bit. The tongue more narrow. The shoe doesn’t quite close over my high arch at the top of the laces tongue doesn’t cross my entire foot. I will probably wear them anyway but so sorry that you cut back on the width. Us wide feet high arch people needed that extra width.

Great Shoe!Fit perfect, felt great right out box. Quality all around. Replacing similar Merrell’s approx. 7 years old. Still good shape except some upper trim. As with last pair totally satisfied. No break in required. Read reviews tight top of foot, not t for me. Medium foot, size 8. Good with med. sock. Lots tie room. Suffer neuropathy left foot. Can’t tolerate tight/ restricting shoe. These best for comfort/long hikes/wear. Vibram TC5 + Soles keep you grounded & last forever. Great insole. Lightweight. Waterproof. Looks great on! Even better than photo. I chose blue. Well worth the money. Highly recommend. Merrell NEVER disappoints!

Amazingly comfortable!Wow, wow, wow....just bought a pair of Moab 2 waterproof in wide (short style) and I'm blown away at just how comfortable they are! I work in construction and also have bad knees so needed a comfortable slip resistant wide shoe. These are my 1st pair of Merrell's so I had to guess at a style & size online and so glad I chose these. They fit perfectly and I had no knee pain all day and no break in period. These are a godsend as I struggle with knee pain daily. I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 in wide and bought 8 wide and were a perfect fit. Thank you for making such comfortable, durable, amazing shoes! Highly recommend!

comfy, not waterproof.i got these because i had heard great things about it and had the extra money to buy them. i am an outdoors person but i dont have a high paying job, so i tried to be smart with my buy. the sad thing is, these aren't waterproof. if you go on a short walk and it rains a little, yes you will probably be fine. but i was in the rain for a whole day on a long hike, and my feet were freezing cold by the end. it is a disappointment because they claim they are waterproof, but they simply arent, and if they had communicated that i would've bought actual waterproof shoes.
so if you are a pro hiker that goes on long hikes, no matter the temperature or if it rains, do not buy these. buy some other kind of shoes.

Think about where your feet are taking you!Not about your feet! As I order my fifth pair of these (I also have non-waterproof occasions) I thought I owed you guys a review.
I have a bunion (so a genuinely wide left foot) but this does not keep me off my feet. I used to wear Keens and when I could no longer find them in a wide width I was happy to find that Merrell could accommodate me - and even happier when I ordered the shoes and started wearing them.
The first pair I ordered was a 1/2 size too short in the so now I know better. Also really appreciate that they lace up nice and snug around my not particularly wide arch and ankle. I love these shoes!

Great Shoes!I recently replaced an old pair of Moabs with these. I have a business that requires me to be on the trails at least 4 days a week, and Merrells have always been the best for me. I have flat feet, plantar fasciitis, and some other issues, and these are the only shoes I can wear for an extended period of time and my feet/legs/back won't kill me afterwards. Although I don't work/hike through large pools of water, they are waterproof enough for deep snow and rain/mud puddles - they keep my feet dry and warm. They've got good gripping capabilities, and you don't need to break them in (which is my favorite part).

The 3rd time was not a charm!I bought the Moab 2 after trying out the Siren Edge 3 (uncomfortable) and the Bravada (uncomfortable). The shoes that I were replacing were Moabs that were 5 years old that my dog decided to eat one day .... The new Moabs are made differently that the old. I prefer the old. First of all, the left shoe was shorter than the right. The toe box on the Moab is very wide and did not fit as well on my foot because of it. Merrell- if you make this shoe in a wide, why do you have to make the medium width so wide? Anyway, I have given up on Merrell and will search for another brand. Needless to say, this upsets me because my old pair were super comfortable.

Moab 2 Waterproof: women’s 7Comfort & support, no break in needed. Vibram sole grips well in wet, muddy, icy etc. conditions. Good for everyday wear, camping, hiking. Re: sizing... I adore, but can’t wear Merrell’s mocs (polar moc) as put pressure on my instep. Can just fit in the ice Mocs w/o socks. No prob with these. And finally, room for toes to move all around but foot is locked in place. Relief! I wear size 6 dress shoe or flip flop, 7 Nike/Reebok. Ice moc 6.5 (no socks). Got this in size 7. Fits perfect with thin & med socks. If wore super thick socks or was adding insoles would have needed to go up to 7.5 to avoid tightness.
