Hiking in styleI have been searching for a long time to find the right hiking boot for me and this is definitely it! After trying many brands and different styles this shoe was the one. They’re super light, waterproof and plenty of room in the toe box (but not clunky) which is a real plus for me. If you’re looking for full ankle support then this is probably not the shoe for you- but that’s why it’s a “mid”. I sized up a half size which was perfect for me. Great on day hikes, helps with leg fatigue while standing on concrete floors during work, and I’ve received so many compliments on the style. I highly recommend these!

Ranger ApprovedBought the speeds a couple of weeks ago and I love them. I’ve wore them bouldering and semi rocky terrains. I haven’t had any issues with them coming untied as another review said. I also really like them because they aren’t bulky but I still feel comfortable on the trails. Also they’re really sticky, that was important to me so I’ve been putting them to the test. I used to have the moabs which I loved but they’re heavier than what I was needing. Overall super comfy.

Great for work and walking the dog!I bought these to start my new job at a popular, nautical themed grocery store. I’m on my feet 7.5 hours at a time and needed something with good stability and wanted waterproof and good grip for the winter months. I love them! Wore them right out of the box to work and didn’t have any issues with “wearing them in”. They have stretched just a bit and I will probably get some gel inserts now to fill that little bit of space. I went half a size up (I’m usually between sizes anyway) and now am wondering if I should have stayed with the smaller size to allow for the stretch. I will DEFINITELY be buying more Merrells for future work shoes. I also wear them to walk my dog each day. I think they will last me a long time as there is no evidence of wear after a month of daily use. Yay, Merrell!!

Waterproof problemBought these in spring and love them. The waterproofing held up fine in small puddles however on a 3 mile hike in the rain today it took about 10 minutes for my feet to be wet at the toes and then another 15 for my entire foot to be soaked. My rain pants covered the top of the ankle but the rest of the shoe was exposed. The rain was moderate. I’d give them five stars if it wasn’t for the wet feet. feel like they are more water resistant than proof.

Say yes to these!!!!These shoes are great for hiking! We just went on a camping/hiking trip here in PA and they were perfect! I felt very well supported through my arch and ankles, traversed through slippery terrain and never felt unsteady with the sturdy sole, and they easily wipe off clean after being on muddy trails.

comfy hikersLove these hikers. Wore them the first time in Big Sur and hiked about 10 miles. They felt comfortable, no discomfort at all. The next day the top of my foot close to ankle was just a little sore but feel like that is because I hadn't worn a high top boot in a long time. These are true to size, lightweight and comfortable. The color is a light olive and light purple trim. I would recommend.

Not for me. Poor quality.Well I just purchased these less than 3 months ago. They do not have good ankle support. Twisted my ankle coming down on a hike. Then wore them out yesterday and the soles on the bottom are already flapping. I paid double price than what I usually pay for what I thought would be good. I would not buy again. No ankle support and poor quality to last less than 3 months.

Moab Speed Mid Gore-Tex Hiking BootsI hiked up & down for 2.5 miles (not much, but a retired woman with knee replacements, not too bad) with my new boots and the only thing NOT sore was my feet. It was a 90 degree, humid day and I did not notice my feet being hot either. I love them!
