The Moosejaw Women's Longer Mt. Elliott Insulated Waterproof Parka is a long jacket for keeping winter at bay. Longer than the original Mt. Elliott, the parka length offers more warmth and weather protection. The outer shell fabric is 100% seam-sealed 10k/10k waterproof/breathable 2-layer fabric that will help protect you from the worst weather. PrimaLoft® Silver insulation can't be seen, but there is a 133g in the body and 100g in the arms and hood. The hood is removable and insulated and the collar and hand pockets are lined with cozy fleece for that extra touch of comfort and warmth. We even integrated comfort cuffs that have thumb holes to help keep the snow out and warm in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not warm enough for Michigan winters I am so disappointed. Now that it's actually gotten cold in Michigan (I got this coat at the beginning of November, and we've had unseasonably warm weather until now), I had to purchase a different, warmer coat. The wind seems to go right through this coat - the back/shoulders/arms are not warm at all. It's in the 20s outside now, so I'd hate to see how cold it would be tomorrow when the high is about 10 degrees. I don't know if I get a defective one, or if it's not meant for Michigan winters - I could imagine it would be a great coat if you had lows in the high 30s or 40s without much wind. I loved it up until now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE MY NEW COAT! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was trying to replace a coat I've worn for 24 years! (Still love the coat but showing some wear). I found this coat & absolutely love it. I have walked all winter in MN in this coat & have NOT gotten cold. It has a wonderful cozy lining, a hood if needed. The length is the best, I like it to at least to go to my knees, & this one fits the bill. Two way zipper is great for driving in the car. It's the best coat for cold winters here in MN. I have gotten several compliments about how great it looks too. It's sleek but not puffy, & it's warm but not bulky. I give this coat an A+.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for those seeking a warm non-down option [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm tall and allergic to down so spent a long time seeking a coat long enough to go down to my knees and warm enough to stand up to a Chicago winter. I am very happy with this one, both longer and warmer than anything I could get from North Face or other down-substitute options. It is also impressively light weight, providing warmth without the shoulder pain that comes with heavy winter coats. The inside lining is extremely soft and pleasant to the touch, the thumb hole cuffs are a great anti-weather feature, and the zipper is strong. In sub-freezing temperatures I layer it with another jacket but only because I'm extraordinarily cold sensitive, so I think most people would be fine with this as their only winter coat. I'm 5'10" and it does come just to my knees. I wish there were an even longer version, but this is definitely the longest choice I've found on the market for non-down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a little bit warm Received coat to tonight and promptly put it on, walked outside in the 20 degree cold with a "feels like" temp of 4 degrees, and immediately froze. Also was advised to get a medium and it was a little big for me. I'm 5'6", 140 lbs. could have gotten a small. This coat might be better for north west balmy winters where the temps only get to around 50.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it - except for the tricky-zipper [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this coat overall, except for the fact that the zipper can be tricky. If you don't have exactly the right angle, it won't zip. Aside from that, though, the coat is great. It is warm (I've tested it down into the teens) and I have received compliments on the look. As far as fit goes, I'm 5'9", 140 lbs (broad shoulders, long arms & torso) and a medium fits perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super warm, comfortable [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it!!! I bought this because my old Parka was just old and worn down. This parka is super super warm and comfortable. Not only is it warm, but it's very sleek looking and not too bulky and quite flattering. It hits at just the right length on my leg and keeps the wind out. Also, one of my favorite parts is that the pockets all have zippers so that nothing falls out of them (a lot of parkas don't have that feature). It has passed the test for northern midwest living. I know this will last me a long time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too wide at the bottom [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I noticed another reviewer mentioned the same concern--that the coat is too wide at the bottom. She returned hers and I plan to return mine as well. Otherwise it would be perfect. I love the internal pocket, snug cuffs, insulated removable hood, length, streamlined front, etc. PLEASE PLEASE consider changing the coat's cut for next year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super great coat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3rd one. Let me say that again, 3rd coat now for both daughters and the wife are all ready for Michigan winters. My sales person Will, was fantastic for helping me make the right decision. I Moosejawed and deal was a steal in quality. 900 dollars later I was happy cos all my women’s were happy delux. Do the right thing if you want warmth and quality get Mt. Elliot . I was looking at North Face, sure glad I got these for my ladies.

HOW to MEASURE
* To get the most accurate measurement, use a flexible measuring tape and refer to the measuring guide info below.

CHEST / BUST: Measure around your chest, holding the measuring tape under your armpit. Or have a really close friend or mom help you.

WAIST: Measure around your waist at the narrowest part. Remember this number if you ever buy a fanny pack.

HIP: Measure around your hips at the widest part. This is also called your hipcumference.

SLEEVE LENGTH: With your arms in a slightly bent position, measure from the center of the back of your neck, along the length of your arm, to the wrist. Then add 2 to this number, then subtract 2.
