When you open the main, you will have another small pocket, this is very helpful for people put valuable stuff like key, wallet or passport. I like it is inside so required 2 zip access ( hard for bad guy to steal and make me feel comfortable ) and the small pocket is facing me when I open it. not too heavy still got some padding on the back to make sure when computer is there, it wouldn't hurt back too much. A well balanced pack. 24L size is good, but a little bit larger like 28L would be better in my preference.

I was a little worried about the cylinder type shapes on the front looking awkward but they are very nice. I can barely fit a 32oz bottle in the pocket. But it does fit! Inner storage pockets work well and the bag itself feels quite sturdy. The straps are a little loose and need to be tightened fairly often. But it’s a breeze. I got the vine green and it’s a very beautiful color. I wish the reinforced bottom was a darker color though. Also the bag is the perfect size for casual use, not too big or small. Can use it in the city, or for casual hikes no problem. The back ventilation is not great. If you’re using it for a lot of sports or hiking I’d suggest something with more breathability. The leather accents are very nice and add a lot to the bag. I’d say get it, it’s a good price for the quality.

The water bottle pocket fits my 26 oz Yeti bottle and I use the pocket with the fleece for my sunglasses. The straps are very nicely padded and comfortable. The internal pocket is great for my laptop charging cable. I typically carry a 13 inch laptop, one 3 subject notebook, a average size text book, pencil case,a large calculator (I use a TI Nspire CAS II) and charging cable in the main compartment. Along with my water bottle in the external pocket. This is maxed out but still comfortable. The clamshell style opening is nice and convenient. Great quality. The drawbacks are the material is a magnet for lint/animal fur and the venting on the back is nonexistent. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I got mine during a sale, so I got a lot of bang for my buck

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fibs from upgrade from prizefighter [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the mystery ranch prizefighter before i got the Steffan, it is nice, but it lacked stuff i found i really wanted for everyday carry like a full waterbottle pocket. The two front pockets(one for waterbottle, one for glasses/tech) have their own dimension (1 1/2 inch or so) and make up for lack of usual top mounted quick access pocket, but larger items will eat somewhat into the main compartment. The waterbottle one is extra sealed against water, the other has soft material for glasses/phones. The straps are overkill for what this will carry for me to work and travel. The clamshell design is good for travel and the leather accents and muted colors(i got the blue) let me take it to work. You can feel the difference between the any other bag's 500 and this one's 1050d nylon but it isnt a huge thing. The laptop compartment also will hold my 14in dell easily.

I live the amount of organization and the easy access front pockets. The 1000D Material also feels amazing. This backpack is just perfect for carrying around everywhere. This is the most comfortable pack I own. I'm 5'10" and 180 ibs. This fits me like a glove. The padding on the shoulder straps, and the back of the pack are second to none. The pack doesn't have much of a internal frame, but everything works... well! The exterior pockets are pretty great too. The waterproof lined water bottle pocket is just incredible. Handy too! If I had to knock the pack (which I cannot) I would add a second slot on the face of the laptop sleeve for iPad or other possibles. Maybe another zip pouch below the interior face pouch. Hard to improve on something that really doesn't need it. Additionally, I've gotten many complements on the pack. It's quite a looker.
