RECCO Reflectors

RECCO Reflectors
The RECCO® Rescue System is two-part technology. Ski resorts and mountain rescue teams carry RECCO® detectors, which send out a search signal. RECCO® reflectors worn by skiers, riders and other outdoors people, bounce back a directional signal that directs the rescuer straight to the reflector. Unlike other technologies, multiple RECCO® reflectors on a person can improve detection.

Product Reviews
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Attention to Detail [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purely as a snowpant these function completely fine. At the listed price I would expect a better product with more attention to detail. The suspenders are listed as removable. They are not. Clearly designed to be but they are tightly stitched in place on the front making it impossible to remove them. I bought these most specifically for the "Internal mesh pocket sized for beacon" since I would like to start wearing my beacon in a pocket instead of on a chest harness. Other manufacturers have designed pocket harness systems as well. However, this should be listed as "internal mesh sleeve sized for beacon" since there is nothing to hold it in place. The reality is, if you unzip your main pocket it totally exposes you to losing your beacon. If you are caught in an avalanche at that moment or if you forget to rezip your beacon will be gone. I personally see that as a major misrepresentation of how to carry a life saving device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect fit Just bought this so haven’t been able to test it on the mountains yet. But the fit and materials is top notch. My 2nd pair or MH ski pants and don’t expect them to disappoint. Athletic guy with strong legs but don’t like pants that are snug or too baggy. This is my first softshell ski pants so we’ll see how they fair when the weather hits. Overall, nice materials, stitching, and great fit.
