The Mountain Hardwear Men's Hardwear AP Pant is a do-everything pant for everyday wear. The simple combination of cotton, nylon, and elastane gives you a fabric that is one part comfort, one part performance, and all parts awesome. Hustle to work on the bike and don't worry about your chain getting caught as you roll up the pant leg and secure it with a snap. Stretching with every move allows you to hike comfortably and even get in a little gym climb on the weekends. Classy enough to rock 'em in the office with a button-up but doesn't leave you feeling stuffy when beer o'clock rolls around.

Product Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good casual gear for warm weather [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these as an alternative to shorts during our long Oklahoma summer. They are lighter than most pants, and the high cotton content makes them look and feel more like traditional pants than more technical pants with high nylon content. Almost no stretch, and no crotch gusset, so not what I would pick for serious hiking or biking. Also, not really a quick-drying fabric. But light enough to beat my other pants for hot-weather comfort, and a fit that is compatible with my slightly athletic but thin build. Seem slimmer than most through hips and thighs. Size 31 waist was actually 32. The 32 inseam was actually 31.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lint magnet, fits too tight [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi I'm 6'2" tall 170 lbs, so I'm lean. The thighs on these pants are super tight. Granted I'm a cyclist, but I'm no pro or even hardcore amateur, so I don't have the thunder thighs (that I'd like to have haha). Also, they will suck in anything linty in a 30 foot radius and permanently anchor it to the outside fabric. Great concept and good looking, especially with the front cell phone or knife or whatever pocket, but that concept is trashed by being a lint magnet. Of course if that is no concern to you, then go for it, but I hope you're thin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these about 3 months ago and they’ve bee my favorite pants ever since!! I have many pairs of Patagonia, arcteryx and north face but none compare to the comfort, amazing pockets and the ability to roll them up and snap them in place with a reflective strip visible in conclusion, but these pants haha they’re amazing

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great features but bad fit [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all the features of these pants. the side pocket, the snaps, the reflective strips on the ankles. The fabric is also pretty good too. These would have been the perfect pants for me, if it weren't for the fit. They were true to length, but too tight in the crotch, seat, and thighs. I can feel them pulling when I bend my knees and it interferes with my movement too much to be suitable for climbing. I think it might have something to do with the fabric. The descriptions I have read from MHW describe them as semi stretch, however the fabric on my pair has next to no stretch in them. Maybe they changed the fabric at some point, but with this fit they really need that stretch. That said, This fabric seems pretty durable so I'm not sure I would want to sacrifice that. If MHW made a version of this with a slightly more "athletic" fit, I would buy them in a heartbeat, but as is I would only recommend them to smaller people or tall guys that are also quite skinny.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fit and comfort but material quick to wear. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first pair of these and they tore the very first time I went climbing in them. It may have been unlucky but I would have expected more out of an expensive pair of pants made just for climbing. I patched them and since that incident the wear has been modest, on par with other climbing pants I've owned. Overall I still enjoy these for climbing and the fit is great for a slim/athletic build, a little on the tighter side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fit is great. Slightly slim and feels just right. I'm 6' and 165lb and typically wear a 33x32 in things like Levis, but these 32x32 are perfect. Wear to the cube farm at work and out camping. I liked so much I bought a second pair of a different color. A couple gripes about pockets: The front right thigh pocket is useless, and the back zippers I find annoying because they seem to scrape things in the open position.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nacho cheese but for your legs [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me tell you, I wear through pants with an extreme prejudice. I needed a good pair of trou that would get me from here to there and back again without falling apart on me. These have totally exceeded my expectations and I am all onboard for several more pairs. These bad boys are comfy, rugged, functional, and mad stylin

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy Well Cut Pants [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried these on. I really loved them. They seemed like they would take a hell of a beating and they were cut well. I really liked them. They were just too big for me. I would love to put these to the test both on the trail and in the office. Really these could be a pair that I wore 7 days a week.
