Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best All Around Camp Pad I've Owned Yet First of all, this pad is great. Period. I would highly recommend a purchase if you're on the fence. This pad is warm and comfortable. This pad doesn't make you feel like you might fall off as some other inflatable pads I've owned. This pad is easy to adjust with a dual valve and doesn't take much to fully inflate. My only negative thought about this pad is that it can be difficult to re-pack and while it is light, it isn't as small as ultralight inflatable pads when packed. I will do a rough pre-roll to get most air out and then do a tight roll to get it ready for the strap and bag. TLDR: This is a great pad, buy it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Fine Pad I bought this pad a little over a month ago and tried it out on the Trans-Catalina Trail (3 nights). I'm pretty fussy when it comes to my sleep system, and I've loved my Nemo spoon-shaped bag, so I thought I'd give this a try. I've had three inflatable sleeping pads in my life, and I'd rate this one as second best. It inflated well, but not quite as much as I'd hoped. I used another brand of pump sack to force a little extra air into it. For being mostly self-inflating and also using foam, its compactibility and weight are impressive. I like the quietness of the material as well. Not a bad pad at all, but for me it was just good, not great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable comfort I’ve used a wide range of sleeping pads from other brands of similar price points over the last 20 years— this is the first I’ve found that is super comfortable and also has the feel of great durability. Nice and thick, and the foam cell construction within lends a great framework for the inflation and supports me well (I’m 6’ 210lbs for reference). Inflation and deflation/stowing is simple and no-hassle. Only downside I can see after using the Flyer in the backcountry is that it’s a little bulkier than I could wish for, but that’s the trade-off for the foam cell construction that also makes it so comfortable. This pad will be my go-to for the foreseeable future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pad - Flawed Valve Connect Design - Ripped [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pad - it is warm, it has these fancy, grippy parts that keep it from slipping on the tent floor, it's thick enough to be very comfortable for me (5'2" @ 135lbs), and it only took about 15 breaths to inflate fully. Lightweight (maybe just shy of 2lbs) but a little bulky (little bigger than a football I think). I am disappointed that after less than one season I have ripped the pad open where the valve connects to the mattress. The repair kit is definitely not sufficient for this. I'll be trialing some duct tape here because I do like this pad so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next level comfort I camp several nights per week between field work at my job and weekend trips, so having a comfortable sleep setup is very important to me. I have experimented with various combinations of inflatable and closed cell foam pads and none of them have come close to how comfortable this sleeping pad is. Unlike other setups I have tried, I do not get the trampoline effect when moving around and I find that I rarely slide off or need to reorient my pad in the middle of the night. The pad is also super warm and setup and inflation is very easily. In my book this sleeping pad receives the highest marks in terms of comfort (and value). So far the only downside I have encountered is packability, it takes a considerable amount of time and effort to get this pad packed down into its stuff sack. Getting that last bit of air out while rolling the pad up seems to be nearly impossible because of how lofty the foam inside is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and warm Mine is the regular wide as a toss around a lot. Used for two weeks on the AT. I got the wide and love the mummy configuration as the tapered foot end fits nicely inside the foot box of a quilt, which adds to the warmth of the quilt. and the feel that you are at home on your bed with a cover over you. The material is soft, without the typical sticky plastic feel. And it is quiet, no crunching. The down side is the weight and pack size, but I guess that is the compromise. I would have gotten the Tensor Ultralight if it came mummy shape but wide in a regular length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive! Now THIS pad is crazy. When I opened the package, I was wondering how this was going to support me over night. Well, because of the way it's designed and engineered, the balance between the air cushion and foam walls support a body very nicely. There is no significant air shifting around due to different pressure points. The whole thing stays surprisingly stable from head to toe. It also has a self inflating feature. One note about this....it takes a while, so if you do pick this up, lay it out at least 45 minutes before really try laying on it. I set it up when getting the tent ready and leave it while other things are being done. It does require 4 or 5 puffs of air into it to fully expand it to full capacity in the end, but that is a SMALL detail and no big deal. I'd purchase again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing insulating layer Really never bothered with sleeping pads, I’ve been using an old Ther-a-rest. The Flyer Self-Inflating is amazing and provides a great layer of warmth between the sleeping bag and the ground. It’s also very comfortable and I have never had a bad nights sleep when using it.
