Product Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable for smaller individual After waiting several weeks for the return of the Stargazer Recliner Luxury to the retail stores, we purchased one (1). I find it very comfortable but our intent was to purchase one for my husband and one for me. Once my husband, who weighs less than 200 lbs., sat in the chair we soon discovered the upper section of the chair was too narrow to accommodate his shoulders. He could not rest his arms comfortably in the chair. As can be seen in the photos, he looks kinda’ scrunched up. Other than putting them straight out in front of him, there was no place to rest his arms. Placing them on the chair’s arm prevented the chair from swinging. This seems chair seems to be designed for a smaller framed individual. Having a chair for a larger framed individual would justify 5 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult to get poles into headrest Great chair, great cupholder, phone pockets, comfy, lightweight, can be used for looking at the sky. Would have given it five stars BUT it took all the strength of one man and one woman to get the poles into the pockets at the top of the headrest, something that should be easy to do. The trick is that one person has to pull mightily on the tab while the other person slightly flexes the pole and guides it into place. Not a one person job. IMHO, Nemo needs to have better quality control and make sure that the chairs are easy to assemble before shipping them out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just didn't work for me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Superb quality and workmanship for sure. Don't know what all the hype is about though. I have broad shoulders like any 5'11" man does I think. The arm rests were the major turn off. It felt like the mummy bag of chairs. Meaning your arms were awkwardly folded in resting on your own legs. If i put them on the arm garb bars, like I saw some doing, my elbows hit the support bar. My girlfriend said it worked for her but still wasn't amazing. If it ain't broken (old camp chair model) , why "fix" it? Thought thw most expensive chair would be a better fit. I'm sad it didn't work out and will be returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Comfortable! Easy Setup and Breakdown I've had a Stargaze Luxury for over two years and love it so much, I just bought another one. It is incredibly comfortable to sit in. It's easy to sit upright, for instance if you're eating. You can also recline way back and gaze at the stars. (hmm...) I have napped in it. Despite my sizeable person (6'1" and 225+ lbs) my first Stargaze is not wearing out. I bought a second one for a guest. I'm a full-time RVer in the Southwest, so I use the chair over 300 days per year. I've seen reviews that indicated that this chair is nearly impossible to assemble, disassemble or return to its case. I don't find any of these to be a problem, and I've included a video that shows all three processes (in less than 5 minutes).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these chairs! My wife and I love these chairs... love being able to recline and watch the stars with a headrest while camping. We've also used these while projecting outdoor movies. The fit is great for my wife, but is a tad narrow for me (5'-8" athletic build). Not a big deal, still comfortable, especially with arms on the arm rest or up over the straps when reclining. For this reason and the fact that the feet fall off whenever we move the chairs, I reluctantly downgraded to 4 star rating. I'll be coming up with a diy method for keeping the feet on, but would welcome any other recommended methods.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Most comfortable 'camp' chair Full agreement with the "Most Helpful Positive Review". Yes, it is still a very comfortable chair. I set it up as soon as it was delivered and took about 20 minute nap about five minutes after setting it up. Lately I have noticed a scrunched feeling of my shoulders (5' 10" and 175 #, and 64 yr. old). Yes, age does aggravate years of abuse. I disagree with the idea of having a built in foot rest. I use a small tripod stool as a foot rest and it can be used alone as a table or someone else if needed. Just bought one for my daughter to be used for her horse shows and her front porch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best presents I ever gave I gave the Stargaze to my wife just before a 16 day overland trip and she absolutely loved it. Where it is not the most versatile camp chair, such as trying to eat at a table, for kicking back at the fire and staring up at the stars she loved it! At 6'2" I found it too short. I wasn't bad for a upright rocker but when I tried to lean back and enjoy I found it uncomfortable as the headrest hit me in at the neck and didn't support my head. NEMO, you've got to make a tall version of the chair!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs a foot hammock/rest of some sort Sets up and takes down easily. Really needs a foot rest of some sort. Even just a cloth hammock so you can really recline. I would give it a 4-5 star rating but its just not completely comfortable unless i put my feet up on another chair. It also tends to dig into the back of my legs if you sit too long without something under my feet. The carrying strap on our bag also came un-stitched after 3 uses.
