Product Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect Really like this pack. Pockets are great, not to many, not too few. Design is well thought out. The 14 liter can make a minimalist day pack and can size down to where it doesn't feel bulky with just the bladder in it. Ventilation is OK. A few things would make this pack better. It needs two sizes, Im 6' and about 180, the pack fits but would be nice if it was longer. The bladder hose is long enough, but an extra couple inches would be awesome. And the magnet that keeps the hose to the strap works well, but with a larger/stronger magnet it would be even better. Would buy again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Mountain Biking Ever!! It took me hours of investigating different mountain bike packs, until I chose the Raven 14 and am not disappointed! Impressed with the quality and attention to details, from small hip belt pockets, to the rugged, easy to use zipper pulls, the side buckles for quick hip belt adjustments, the clip for helmet carrying, the incredibly light weight easy to open hydration bladder with its clever zip-in-the-pack , no more tube threading. There are plenty of options for strapping gear on the outside of the pack if need be, I even comfortably strapped on a deer antler! Plenty of little pockets to organize and keep items handy. I can't say enough about this pack, highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect pack for the great outdoors I took this Osprey pack as a carry-on/day pack for a 3 week trip in Thailand and found that it was the perfect bag for the situation. The easily accessible pockets, light weight, breathable straps and back made it so easy to quickly travel while knowing my belongings were safe. I found that the synch-down side straps could also be used to secure the small personal item pocket in order to lock the pocket from any would-be pickpockets. It was a nice extension to safely hold and easily access my passport, wallet, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. Other than this trip, I've used this bag for hiking, mountain biking and skiing over the past 2 years and have loved it! The pack is very durable and has not shown sign of breaking down despite regular heavy use. The water reservoir is a nice feature that has its own pocket separate from the main pockets so it does not take up valuable space in the pack. I have not found a better pack for the price and would highly recommend this for someone looking for a multi-purpose day pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If your gonna where a one, this is a great pack. I've had my raptor pack for over 3 years. The pack has held up great. It's been on countless trips from southern california, utah, arizona, washington, and BC. Great for a day pack that holds enough water, gear, and tools to be near perfect. When loaded up I can fit a good rain shell, knee pads, food, pump, spare tube, first aide kit and have room for more stuff. This pack is comfortable and breathes well. It has lots of adjustability to fit most people. I'm 5'5 165lbs with a muscular build. The bladder is easy to remove and reload. The waste pockets keeps essential items close and easy to get too. The zipper work well and are very strong The magnetic bite valve makes water convenient and easy to reach. I did manage to break the plastic clip, but osprey customer service was on point and sent me a couple free replacements in no time. I would definitely purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great daily driver. I love this thing! I originally bought the Raptor as a larger capacity hydration pack to hold a puff, ultra light shell, first aid kit, and repair kit for longer rides during the cooler months in a cold climate. It's well balanced when fully loaded. I've even fit my girlfriend's outer layer, bars, maps, and a guide book without it feeling overly cumbersome. One feature I didn't think I needed was the helmet keeper. It's actually really nice to have everything contained to one unit. I leave everything in/attached to the bag, then grab my bike and the Raptor when I'm headed out the door. For days that don't require a full kit, the Raptor cinches down close to your body. I was surprised at how such a large pack can shrink down to nothing. It works great solely as a hydration pack without sway. The rollout tool kit is ingenious. In my opinion, Osprey has one of the best hydration bladders out there. I'm not a huge fan of the screw on caps from some of the other competitors. They tend to stick when changing altitudes and when the threads get dirty. The only caveat is that it may be a bit large for smaller folks. I am 5'7" 138 lbs. There is a slight gap between my shoulders and the top of the pack. It doesn't necessarily affect performance, but it's there. There is no strap adjustment over the shoulders due to the design of the hydration hose sleeve (worth the sacrifice) . Bottom line, it's a versatile pack that handles well with light or heavy loads. I've actually stopped using my smaller pack, even for shorter, more technical days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and lots of nice features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pack replaces an old non-supported pack with similar storage capacity. Lots of cool features, nice to keep the weight of tools at the bottom of the pack, the magnetic connector is growing on me, fabrics are very solid and lightweight, the bladder is fantastic and has no discernable taste. Robust bite valve should also last a while. Pack sits very comfortably on my back, and as such keeps my back quite warm and sweaty. It doesn't move at all though, so that's a big plus. At least for me the ventilated back keeps the pack itself from getting wet (good, I suppose).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this bag, but why the side zip? I'm headed into my 3rd Mtn Bike season with this pack, riding 3-5 days a week and it still looks like new! And I've put it in the washing machine probably 10x's now. I love how it fits and it breaths well; you barely notice it's there once it's on, even on all day adventures. I love all the different pockets that are available to keep tools, food and other items organized. The open pocket and the mesh stretch pocket allow you to pack almost anything & everything you can think of. I don't tend to use the hip belt pockets as much as I thought, they're a little small and I also don't want to land on items in there if I happen to crash. I only have a few complaints, one is that the magnetic clip is practically on the shoulder strap. This means that every once in a while the bit piece is touching your arm and is, gross and irritating. The older bags had a sliding piece for the connection point and you could put it on the chest strap where you wanted it to stay. Also, when you take the chest strap off, you're pretty much touching the mouth piece now. I think the slider magnet was a better design. My second complaint about this bag is that the compartment with mesh pockets has a size zipper! Why? You can't easily get into the compartment and you can't easily see what's in there. This is practically a useless pocket because of the side zip, for me. I wish this had a top zip opening, even if it didn't expand, this would make the compartment extremely functional and useful. Overall, I love this bag, it's been through a lot of long days with me and it's holding up like a champ! I would definitely recommend it to anybody in the market for a MTN Bike bag!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost there... Especially like the tool pocket so I don't have to go digging around in the pack. If Osprey or anyone has a tip? Hose is too short to stay attached to the magnet. For a moment, yes, but not for more than a minute.

Please note that the info provided above refers to the Torso Size / Length the pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are steps for how to measure your torso length. You should have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO LENGTH:
1. Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
2. Touch your chin to your chest to find the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck.
3. Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
4. Measure the full length from the C7 vertebrae to the iliac crest. This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size chart above to find your ideal size.
5. If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

HOW to MEASURE CHEST MEASUREMENT:
Measure around the fullest part of the chest.

Warranty Info

ALL MIGHTY GUARANTEE - Osprey's Lifetime Warranty

When Osprey celebrated their 35th anniversary in 2009 they launched The Osprey All Mighty Guarantee. What that means to you is ANY Osprey product purchased at ANY time is covered. Any product, any reason, any era - the all encompassing Osprey lifetime warranty ensures their dedication to superior design, craftsmanship and quality of their products is backed up by their actions to replace or repair a pack so it lasts a lifetime. Or two.

Here are some details.... Osprey will repair for any reason, free of charge, any damage or defect in their products, whether it was purchased back in 1974, or ordered right now from this site. If they are unable to perform a functional repair on your pack, they will happily replace it. Osprey proudly stands behind the All Mighty Guarantee, so much so that it bears the signature of company founder and head designer, Mike Pfotenhauer.

Some Osprey All Mighty Guarantee FAQs:

What do I do if my Osprey pack needs to be repaired?
If you live in the United States and need a repair done on your Osprey pack, you will first need to obtain a Return Authorization number. You can do this by reaching their Returns Department at 866-314-3130, or using the information that is provided with a new Osprey pack.

What do I do if I just need a replacement pack part like a buckle?
Give Osprey a call at 866-314-3130 and they will take care of you.

How long will it take?
You can tell Osprey you need the pack returned by a certain date when you request a Return Authorization number, and they will do their absolute best to meet that deadline.

What if my pack is super dirty and stinks?
Clean it before you send it to Osprey to get repaired. The real reason is that there is a law that says if your gear is too dirty or odiferous (smelly), Osprey is not allowed to repair it and will just return it to you.

Do I have to pay for shipping?
A little bit. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the pack to Osprey, and they will pay shipping to return the pack via UPS or FedEx. Osprey cannot be held responsible if packages get lost in transit, so make sure you get a tracking number when you ship your pack out. Also, if you use expedited shipping be sure to let Osprey know (866-314-3130). They, in turn, will give your pack priority processing and return it using a similar expedited shipping method.

Do I have to register my pack to take advantage of this incredible guarantee, and/or need to be the original owner of my Osprey pack?
No! Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee is truly ALL MIGHTY. If you own an Osprey pack that needs to be repaired they will repair or replace it.

JUST A HEADS UP: If your Osprey product is not repairable and is replaced, the original product will not be returned to you. They will try really really hard to repair your pack, but if they are unable to make a functional repair, they will replace it. For products that are no longer in production you will be contacted by Osprey to discuss replacement options.

All good answers. So what is NOT covered?
• Osprey program packs or any Osprey pack used by outdoor programs are ONLY covered under Osprey's Program Pack Warranty, NOT AMG.
• Size and/or fit issues. Make sure you buy a pack that fits. Check out the size guide on Osprey product pages for more info.
• Personal preferences like colors you don't like, style of the pack, or not enough/too much room in your pack. Check the product description, features, specifications, and size guide to make sure you are ordering the right pack for you.
• Third party Repairs or replacements. Send your Osprey pack to Osprey and Osprey only to get fixed. Easy as that. And don't try fixing things yourself.
• Cosmetic wear and tear including any reasonable aging of your pack that affects only the appearance and not the function of your pack. Be proud of those scars!
• B.A.M.G. (Before All Mighty Guarantee) Repair Work. The All Mighty Guarantee applies only to repairs requested on or after January 1, 2009.
• A Osprey Hydraulics reservoir is covered by a limited 1-year warranty, which is the reasonable lifespan of a reservoir. Pouring and storing of warm/hot or boiling water in your reservoir WILL VOID your warranty, so don't do that. Reservoirs are NOT designed to contain or handle liquids at temperature.
