Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack..almost I use this pack for cycling mostly. Road and MTB and a few hikes. I feel the pack is great. It's lightweight, holds basic tools and tube, cell phone, wallet, and a few snacks. What else does one need? It comfortably stays close on your back and is easily adjusted. I usually ride 2-3 hours and have never ran out of water. The pack and all it's contents stay in place on jumps and downhill. I keep my tube in the outside pocket and it's never gone missing. It looks cool too! My only complaint is the magnet hold for the bite valve is weak and WILL NOT stay! It falls then you keep banging it with your knee. I fixed mine with a small elastic band and a small plastic carabiner. I clip it on the opposite side of the pack and the elastic allows me to pull it to my mouth and let go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a 'light' all-day ride [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Siskin 8 hydropack fits comfortably with a sufficient amount of space in the front pocket. The hydropack is seperated from the rest of the backpack. There are two straps that connect across the chest and waist. I personally don't use either while riding but they could be handy if you're running or like a tighter fit. I don't find myself using the magnet but it is a nice feature. The hydropack itself is of high quality. I trust the sealing mechanism and have little doubt that it will last many years (finges crossed). The Sisken 8 is perfect for a multi-hour trip. You can easily pack a light lunch, some bike tools, a hand pump, and maybe a light jacket without the feeling of a bulky backpack resting on your shoulders. Lastly, the pack looks stylish and is built with quality. I would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from #nolongerthirsty [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] recently purchased the osprey sisken 8 hydration pack and am so glad i did! i’ve had other brands of hydration packs but the ease of this one has set it far beyond the others. it’s super easy to clean and refill which has been a struggle for me before. extra space enough for a tube, wallet, phone and a light jacket. My hydration dreams have come true with this one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love to this bag so much I bought both sizes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This really is like the perfect bag for cycling, I bought this and the siskin 12 because I loved it so much. the 12 has an extra compartment for your sunglasses up top and extra space in the main compartment, it has a belt with zipper compartments, I keep a little bit of extra cash in there and some granola bars on rides. The reason I bought the 8 is because I don't necessarily love having the permanent belt that the 12 features, if the 12 had a breakaway belt system I probably would not have bought the 8. There are certain rides where I just have a light load and I don't need the belt, there's no convenient place to tuck it away and it just sort of flaps around if I don't wrap it around me, so for those rides the 8 is perfect. The main compartment is perfectly sized for an extra ebike battery which is the main reason I bought this, I love the sleeves on inside of the bag for a portable bike pump, the sunglass pouch on the 12 has anti-scratch material, a lot of really nice little features. I feel really great buying these bags with the osprey lifetime guarantee knowing that I'll be covered if anything messes up, I own several of their bags and I've never needed to call them for anything yet. I can say that I wish they combined the best features of both of these bags and made a siskin 10, take the 12 and get rid of the permanent belt and make it a little smaller while still keeping the sunglass pouch. The 12 really requires that you wear the belt which is a little annoying, on the 8 the belt is a different style and pops right off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for mountain biking [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a huge upgrade to my old hydration pack (was a different brand). The size is perfect - enough room for a spare tube, a few tools, and a granola bar or two, but not so large that it gets in the way or feels heavy. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat - but with Osprey's warranty I'll never have to!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect lightweight Mtn bike pack [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had a few rides with this bad boy over the last couple weeks and it’s been what I was looking for. Decent storage - enough for a morning jacket, tools and snacks. Only issue is when the bladder is full you only have about 1/2 storage. It’s perfect for these CO trail rides.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth buying; pack light Pac gets used several times a week. The pack is versatile enough for both for trail running and day long mountain bike tracks. A design improvement would be to add 2" in. of depth to the pack; when full, the water bladder fills the majority of the pack leaving little room for a few other essentials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my daughter who is at college. She is in Colorado and was doing a lot of hiking. This is the perfect size. Not to bulky but enough pockets for snacks and light jacket.

Please note that the info provided above refers to the Torso Size / Length the pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are steps for how to measure your torso length. You should have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate.

HOW to MEASURE TORSO LENGTH:
1. Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
2. Touch your chin to your chest to find the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck.
3. Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
4. Measure the full length from the C7 vertebrae to the iliac crest. This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size chart above to find your ideal size.
5. If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

HOW to MEASURE CHEST MEASUREMENT:
Measure around the fullest part of the chest.

Warranty Info

ALL MIGHTY GUARANTEE - Osprey's Lifetime Warranty

When Osprey celebrated their 35th anniversary in 2009 they launched The Osprey All Mighty Guarantee. What that means to you is ANY Osprey product purchased at ANY time is covered. Any product, any reason, any era - the all encompassing Osprey lifetime warranty ensures their dedication to superior design, craftsmanship and quality of their products is backed up by their actions to replace or repair a pack so it lasts a lifetime. Or two.

Here are some details.... Osprey will repair for any reason, free of charge, any damage or defect in their products, whether it was purchased back in 1974, or ordered right now from this site. If they are unable to perform a functional repair on your pack, they will happily replace it. Osprey proudly stands behind the All Mighty Guarantee, so much so that it bears the signature of company founder and head designer, Mike Pfotenhauer.

Some Osprey All Mighty Guarantee FAQs:

What do I do if my Osprey pack needs to be repaired?
If you live in the United States and need a repair done on your Osprey pack, you will first need to obtain a Return Authorization number. You can do this by reaching their Returns Department at 866-314-3130, or using the information that is provided with a new Osprey pack.

What do I do if I just need a replacement pack part like a buckle?
Give Osprey a call at 866-314-3130 and they will take care of you.

How long will it take?
You can tell Osprey you need the pack returned by a certain date when you request a Return Authorization number, and they will do their absolute best to meet that deadline.

What if my pack is super dirty and stinks?
Clean it before you send it to Osprey to get repaired. The real reason is that there is a law that says if your gear is too dirty or odiferous (smelly), Osprey is not allowed to repair it and will just return it to you.

Do I have to pay for shipping?
A little bit. You are responsible for the cost of shipping the pack to Osprey, and they will pay shipping to return the pack via UPS or FedEx. Osprey cannot be held responsible if packages get lost in transit, so make sure you get a tracking number when you ship your pack out. Also, if you use expedited shipping be sure to let Osprey know (866-314-3130). They, in turn, will give your pack priority processing and return it using a similar expedited shipping method.

Do I have to register my pack to take advantage of this incredible guarantee, and/or need to be the original owner of my Osprey pack?
No! Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee is truly ALL MIGHTY. If you own an Osprey pack that needs to be repaired they will repair or replace it.

JUST A HEADS UP: If your Osprey product is not repairable and is replaced, the original product will not be returned to you. They will try really really hard to repair your pack, but if they are unable to make a functional repair, they will replace it. For products that are no longer in production you will be contacted by Osprey to discuss replacement options.

All good answers. So what is NOT covered?
• Osprey program packs or any Osprey pack used by outdoor programs are ONLY covered under Osprey's Program Pack Warranty, NOT AMG.
• Size and/or fit issues. Make sure you buy a pack that fits. Check out the size guide on Osprey product pages for more info.
• Personal preferences like colors you don't like, style of the pack, or not enough/too much room in your pack. Check the product description, features, specifications, and size guide to make sure you are ordering the right pack for you.
• Third party Repairs or replacements. Send your Osprey pack to Osprey and Osprey only to get fixed. Easy as that. And don't try fixing things yourself.
• Cosmetic wear and tear including any reasonable aging of your pack that affects only the appearance and not the function of your pack. Be proud of those scars!
• B.A.M.G. (Before All Mighty Guarantee) Repair Work. The All Mighty Guarantee applies only to repairs requested on or after January 1, 2009.
• A Osprey Hydraulics reservoir is covered by a limited 1-year warranty, which is the reasonable lifespan of a reservoir. Pouring and storing of warm/hot or boiling water in your reservoir WILL VOID your warranty, so don't do that. Reservoirs are NOT designed to contain or handle liquids at temperature.
