Product Reviews
Rated 1 out of 5 by from You can do better than buying this gaiter. Inferior product. I used these gaiters on one hike of 12 miles/4500' of elevation gain. They proved really difficult to put on (shoe size = 12 M, gaiter size = L/XL). Worse, the second attempt at using them resulted in the elastic cord at the bottom of one gaiter to break. I made a knot and was still able to use the gaiter for the second hike. My recommendation: Buy something else. Even if the cord hadn't broken, I don't know if I would use these again because they are so hard to put on and are equally hard to remove. Obviously, something that lasts only one use is a product best avoided. I consider the gaiter to be a complete waste of money. I expect O.R. to replace the faulty gaiter. The replacement is likely to go in my tub of hiking stuff that never gets used.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Close but... A very fuctional piece of gear, and improvement on the traditional gaiter design, particularily for keeping the trail out of trail runners and approach shoes. They would benefit from 2 modifications; first, the clips that attach to the laces and for the undersole strap are unecessarily difficult to secure and especially so to remove. Straps and claps on properly fitted/adjusted gaiters generally do not unhook while hiking and there isn't any need for making them so aggressive. Second, the gaiters sag, which can defeat the main function. The elastic at the collar should be adjustable to provide a better fit/seal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality/Difficult to get on and off A friend and I each bought a pair of these gaiters while hiking the Oregon PCT. The first time I lightly pulled on the cinch cord around my calf, the cord broke. Two days later, my friend had the same problem. Also, as a previous reviewer wrote, the hooks are super difficult to take off & on. I had to have my friend help me get one of the hooks connected to the strap and then I couldn't get it unhooked. This product is so poorly designed I wonder whether any OR employee tested the product. If they had, they would have sent it back for a redesign.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Design problems The fit was a little snug and I'm a small person so I can imagine how a bigger person with a larger shoe would have a little difficulty getting these on (size S/M). After only 3 hikes the cord broke. So much for durability. The clips are very difficult to take off once you get them on. This product definitely has some design problems. They should test these products before putting them on the market.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Good i've bought many gaiters from OR. These i'm sending back. The fit on your ankle is terrible. They fall down giving one no protection which is why you wear guitars. The straps the go around your boot & hook back to the gaiter are super difficult to take off & on once you hook them up. In fact it's almost impossible to take them off leading to frustration especially you wanted total your boots running shoes off & on for swim etc.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed they didn't even last 1 year. I found these gaiters so frustrating to put on and remove. The little hooks of the stirrups that clip onto the elastic bands are so hard to hook and unhook. I haven't even had them a year and the elastic from one of the gaiters has broken leaving it impossible to use as there's nothing to attach the stirrup to.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Strap broke off after ~12 miles. Constantly fell down. I got a pair of these after loving the OR Thru Gaiters which they stopped making for some reason. The quality on them is terrible, and they constantly fell down. Failed after about ~20 miles of use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a fan Elastic cord broke during the initial 20 minutes of my first hike with them. Additionally, I have slender calves/ankles and these s/m are too loose with no method of tightening them. Not a fan.
