Gloves are okay but would not buy again without improvementI gave the gloves to my dad for Christmas as he spends quite a bit of time outside. So far he used them multiple times to snow blow the driveway and brought them with him for photography outings in the woods. He said they're not very warm as the heated wires seem to only be on top of the hand and not between the fingers. As a results, his hands still got cold when holding the metal snowblower handle but warmed up quickly after he let go of it. The fit is not great. Fingers are a bit short in proportion to the hand. The gloves do not look top quality, are a bit stiff, and the design is not flawless, but decent gloves for the price. So far, batteries last 4-5 hours on medium/high heat.

Very disappointedBought these back in the spring and just recently started using them with the onset of the cold weather. I had the Lucent gloves and was happy with those but found them a bit bulky so when I needed a new pair I thought I would try these. They do not keep my hands warm at all. I was out walking the dog yesterday in -5C and the palms of my hands and front of my fingers were so cold with the highest heat setting. The gloves have very little insulation even in the context of regular gloves and the heat can be felt on the outside of the gloves. I have other OR products that I love but not this product.

Dont set your expectations too high! Not sure if my expectations of this product were a little too ambitious or not, but overall not the performance I was hoping for. My plan was to use them in the Alberta winter for fat biking. We havent even got close to some of the minus temperatures which are the norm here yet, but my hands are still colder than I would like them to be. These gloves will just about keep your fingers from freezing, but certainly wont get them warm/comfortable! Battery life is nowhere close to the advertised times on the various settings either.

Keep your expectations lowThe fit - Gripper synthetic palm creates excessive folded bulk around the palm. Fingers are a little short, whilst the thumb is a little long on mine. As you would expect to wear these gloves for outdoor activities, it is very difficult to pull the glove over a Garmin watch, especially with the gloves rechargeable batteries in place. Durability - Visually appears durable but as mentioned by another reviewer, there is an uncomfortable seem where the palm and thumb meet on the inside. Warmth - Appears to fall short already in temps of 4 degree c. Expect a minor increase in heat on the back of the fingers and hand (on high and almost nothing on mid and low settings). Due to the excess material around the mid part of my hands, this prevented my fingers from feeling the extent of warmth from the glove. Overall, seems poorly designed.

A versatile glove, well-designed, well-constructed:I have had increasing problem with cold hands during skiing and other outdoor winter activities. Hotties really were not doing the trick. A friend allowed me to try his Lucent heated Sensor mitts which he uses for lift-assisted skiing. Those mitts were nice and warm but clearly not ideal for back-country skiing where one is climbing for much of the day. Way too much mitt and no way to layer down. So I ordered the Gripper gloves and have decided that they are keepers. I ordered the XL, my normal glove size, and find that I can comfortably fit a liner glove inside the Gripper. Also, I can easily fit the Gripper inside an OR expedition mitten shell. I like having these layering options. So far, I have not had a chance to try these gloves in extremely cold temps but am certain that they will beat hotties all to heck. My first opportunity to try the Grippers was today, working on one of the wind turbines which I maintain along I-90. I used the Gripper only for climbing the 80 ft. steel ladder, then switched to light work gloves and stored the Grippers, set on low heat, in my tool bag, . REALLY nice to be able to put my hands into those gloves for a quick warm-up.

solid productHeater works great, but I'm a little baffled why the ring through pinkie fingers have so little insulation. The thumb and pointer finger are solid and where the majority of the heat is. I'm interested to see how these perform in very cold winter temps when out at night walking the dog.

Warm and practicalI have had a chance to use these gloves in weather approx -10 C , I have been really happy with how they perform. I am using them for hunting, mostly sitting in a treestand so very low activity and they have kept my hands warms for hours. I was right on the top measurement for a size small, which turned out to be a good fit.

Best heated glovesBest heated gloves I've used. Heats the whole hand, not just the wrist or back. Waterproofing works well too. Can be out on the cold for hours.
HOW to MEASURE Measure around a flat hand at the knuckles, do not include your thumb. Also measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size.
