Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart looking and functional I've been wearing Ferrosi pants for a view years, but I wanted a pair of convertibles, so I tried the Equinox. After a month of wearing them, I must say I prefer these pants to the Ferrosi. The material is slightly stiffer and less stretchy than the Ferrosi, which makes for a better look, but the performance is still very decent for an outdoor pant. Great for hiking, not as good for activities where that dynamic Ferrosi stretch is required. The zippered legs work fine and the zipper slider is cleverly hidden. I wear a 34" inseam in the Ferrosi, which is a hair too long, but the Equinox fit me great in the 32".

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved the old pants and these are great as well except... I am a Whitewater Raft guide in Northern California, I have been wearing these pants and the Astroman shirt while on the river instead of getting burned or slathering on gobs of sunscreen. The old style of these and the new version work great for this is they are lightweight, stretchy and dry very quickly. My only complaint about these as while there are belt loops they don't come with a belt like the old ones did. May seem minor but another thing to buy, and keep track of, not to mention any belts you buy will be much thicker and not dry out as quickly as the thin belts of the old pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Top of the line convertible hiking pants! These pants are very comfortable, functional, lightweight with easy to remove leg bottoms. I cannot attest as to their durability as I have only worn them twice. The sizing is very accurate. I like them very much so why only 4 stars? 1. There is no lightweight belt included anymore. The drawstring is not a good replacement for the belt. It is not only difficult to find a quality lightweight belt but it is another expense which is like a price increase. Please include a decent belt in the future and these would be 5 stars. 2. There are only 3 colors to choose from. Overall these are very nice quality pants and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a convertible hiking pant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good pants, but tight fight for larger legs Seems like it would be great if it fit, but was just too tight around the quads/hamstrings for me. Unfortunately the zipper loop where the lower part comes off to convert to shorts defeats the purpose of the movement mirroring stretch at that point, because the zipper can't stretch to accommodate larger legs. If you have regular size legs, I'd still recommend it. If you have bigger legs, go for a "regular" fit pair like the Ferrosi pants

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Absolute favorite adventure pants These pants are so amazing no matter what you are doing. They are stylish And refined enough To wear to work and rugged enough for multi day backpacking trips!! I can prove each statement because I have worn them doing both!! I love these pants! The waste snap is an awesome upgrade from other snaps and the zippered legs are so we're designed I don't think twice to zip them off. The construction is solid and the sizing is accurate. I have two pair Currently and I plan on getting a couple more soon! These pants will not disappoint!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super versatile! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these pants to take on a backpacking trip into the uinta mountains in early July. Based on prior experience I was expecting the mosquitos to be bad. I am not a fan of wearing pants while hiking. I also wanted to keep my pack weight as low as possible but knew I would be more comfortable around camp with pants. These pants covered all my bases they protected me from hordes of vicious mosquitoes in the evenings and the zipped off legs were barely noticeable in my pack. I’m not saying I’d wear them casually around town but these pants are not nearly as dorky looking as most zip off pants. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great quality though slim fit and thin material [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pants, just not what I needed, so I changed for a different style. Although comfortable and well made they were a little too slim across the seat for me so I couldn't really use the pockets comfortably. The material is strong but very thin and I get cold easily so I felt they wouldn't be warm enough for me. There was only one zippered pocket as well, halfway down the thigh. More zippered pockets would have been better, or closer to the waistline so keys, etc., don't swing about when walking. For me, too many things didn't work. But if you're after a very light weight pair of pants that are also durable, and you're slim, these might be worth a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pants So I stupidly lost the bottom half of these pants on my first trip with then. They don't sell them separately, but they offered me a half off voucher for a new pair. Top notch customer service and a really great pair of pants. Definitely the best pair of convertible pants I have ever tried on. (I tried to submit a review a few times on my laptop, and just did it again through email, but it it prompted me to do it again, soooo, I would say get your tech guy to make this easier. My review would have been submitted ocer a month ago. This is my last go at it. M)
