Foray for yay[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket after extensive research. It came down to the foray or the marmot minimalist. I chose the foray, because of the added feature of a full pit to hip zip. I have worn it on one hike so far, a 13 mile hike in the Adirondacks, with fall and winter conditions. The jacket performed well. In 40 degrees I stayed warm with just a base layer and this jacket. Didn’t get rained on, but the snow melting off the trees as the sun warmed things up created a moist mess. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the zipper is tough, especially with gloves on. And I also need to use it more to see how it holds up, but so far so good.

Good Rain Jacket[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this jacket for around six weeks. The first weekend I had it I took it out for 15 miles on a rainy day. I have taken it out on multiple rainy day hikes and a backpacking trip. It has done a great job. Pretty breathable for a rain jacket, and the long side zips are a great option for dumping lots of heat. I like the combo of elastic and Velcro at the end on the sleeves. I have been pretty hard on this jacket and spent several full days in the rain with it. After my last trip and being in the rain for 5 hours some water did start to come through around the chest and should area, but nothing major, I would still consider myself dry. The only thing I have not been happy with is the front zipper, it can be hard to get it started. But this is a minor issue, I would buy this jacket again.

Decent Jacket[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seems well made but I should have gone up one size. Bought a Medium and I find it far too snug. I'm 5'8", 150 lbs. Based my choice on other reviews stating the fit was fairly loose but definitely not true! Can't even layer anything bulkier than a thin sweat shirt. Zipper is difficult to get started.

Solid waterproof jacket, good value[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this jacket a few years back and decided to buy a second one. It’s a solid jacket with good waterproofing. I’ve wore it almost 100 days skiing, also wore it fishing and hiking. It’s a solid jacket for the price. I’d recommend for someone wanting a versatile waterproof shell without an outrageous price tag.

NOT Waterproof[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second Foray Jacket. While I loved my first jacket, this one I purchased back in August is disappointing. Four months in, I wore it in the first moderate rain and within 10 minutes the jacket was completely soaked through and wet all over the interior. I’m very disappointed in this OR jacket.

Fantastic venting[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The reason to ge this shell is for venting. Pocket vents, chest pocket vent, and the dual full side zips. Works great to dump heat while snowshoeing or other heavy alpine activity. Not the lightest shell out there, but you knew that already.

Almost perfect[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this jacket. The full ventilation option is amazing. The material is really durable. The only drawback is the zipper is really difficult to start. Pulling down and hard to the left helps a little.

Great fit[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket kept me dry during a hard rain. This jacket also has a great fit. It seams to fit true to size. It was a little light weight compared to what I was expecting. I would recommend
