Product Reviews
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs Smaller than Expected I returned this item because the cut was so slim that it didn't fit properly. The tightness was in the legs (thighs and calves). I have a stocky build and therefore it may fit and perform well for other body-types. Other brands have three different inseam lengths (short, regular, and tall) and I would recommend OR provide these options in the future. Overall construction, workmanship, materials, etc. looks awesome and I wish these pants fit better. If the product fit was proper for me and the performance was typical of OR products, then I am sure this would have been a 5-star rating!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great waterproof pant but sizing needs work. Great waterproof pant. I run hot so really appreciate the full length zipper to dump heat. My only con with these is the sizing - had to up my medium size to a large as the waist and design around the pelvis were restrictive. Now the legs are a little long. Tough for a tweener like myself - 5'10 and 175 for reference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far So Good Bought these for skiing, snowmobiling and trekking. I am 6' tall and 210 lbs. I used the sizing chart, and having a 34" waist and 32" inseam, I naturally chose the large thinking that there would be a bit of extra room for layering. Way too tight to be comfortable, I fear that I would rip these by simply kneeling down. I sent the L pair back and ordered the XL, which fit comfortably and has enough room for layering. I will try and update this review after I have tested these out. They are similar in construction to my Furio jacket, which I love. I have faith that OR has built another great product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Much slimmer than the previous model I had an old pair of Furio Pants, which were excellent and I wore them most days last winter, whilst guiding winter climbs. Really tough material and an excellent fit. This new version is much less durable and far too slim around the thighs. It's a real shame, as they nicked on their first outing and are far too restrictive for climbing activities.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Better PAY ATTENTION to the comments/Reviews on FIT Im a 32x32 pants...ordered these pants and had to return them due to the restrictive and wonky fit. Unusable. Super trim fit and the crotch cut was very prohibitive and restricted movement. Sent them back and going to try some bibs instead. I had high hopes for these pants and they checked a LOT of boxes for me....especially being full zip....Seems like I'm not the only one that had issues with the fit. I would suggest going up a size from what you'd normally do.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not durable I bought these pants for winter. In Northeastern BC, we have harsh winters and I wanted something that would keep me dry while snowshoeing, skiing, etc. These pants are very breathable. If all you do is ski at a resort, these will likely be fine. Using these for hiking and snowshoeing off the beaten path has been hard on these. The first issue I noticed was that a small patch of the inner fabric wore off where the pocket closure on the rear of my pants rubs. I contacted OR and they recommended that I do a warranty claim, which they flatly denied. I was able to repair them with a Tenacious tape patch. The second issue I discovered after snowshoeing for a few days, is that the taping on the seam near one of the knees has let loose. Handy, I already had some patches, which seem to be holding. I feel like it is only a matter of time until these fail and I hope OR's infinite warranty does not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fit/sizing has changed over years for the worse I originally bought these pants back in the fall of 2016. I only have great things to say about the original purchase. I got them mostly for splitboard touring, but found I used them year round for backpacking and mountaineering. They are great for multipurpose use throughout the year. Love the full leg zips for venting and easily removing them with boots on. The fit USED to be great... I reordered a pair this year 2020, and was extremely disappointed to see the fit of the pants has changed dramatically. I ordered the same size (medium) that I owned previously, however the new pants were so restrictive around my thighs that I struggled to take long strides. Finally the deal breaker was that I could not fit the cuff of the pants over my snowboard boots no matter how hard I tried. Maybe they would fit over ski boots which may be slimmer, but I have my doubts about that. It seems like OR has changed the fit to be more of a summer alpine climbing pant. They probably fit really well with a pair of lightweight mountaineering boots. With this change in fit, I unfortunately will not be ordering these again. Really disappointing given how versatile and legit they were for all mountain sports prior to this change in fit/sizing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid piece of gear These are my go to everyday work horse pants when it's time to ski. I am 6'1'', 180 lbs, 32 inch waist, with a 33-34 inch inseam and the large actually fit my long legs even while wearing ski boots with room to layer. I do not pamper my gear I use it as it's supposed to be used and these things have stood up to a beating. I've stayed dry in PNW rain snow mix, mid mountain sleet, crampons in icy couloirs, 50 + mph slides across fresh groomers, deep powder, and the rigors of ski touring. I know they are described as breathable but I have not found that to be the case. I have never had to vent the legs while playing at the resort but on the skin track I had these zipped down to my calves which is easy thanks to the full length zippers that allow for massive dumps of heat. Overall a great no frills pant that I know will keep me dry and skiing no matter the conditions.
