Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Fitting and most functional OR Jacket Ever! I have had a lot of OR Jackets in the past and OR nailed this one! The fit is perfect for me at 5'9" 155 lbs in medium. It is warm with the insulation, but even on warmer days you can open the pit zips and cool down. The hood fits perfectly over my helmet. It has a pass pocket and plenty of other pockets for phone, etc. The inside mesh pocket is perfect for a small water bottle on cold days since it won't freeze when you don't want to wear a pack and not go inside due to COVID. I cannot say enough good things about this jacket and I am very hard on my equipment and usually always find a fault. So far none here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Jacket - Noticeably Improved from Older OR I'm very impressed with this jacket, and with the warranty and customer support by Outdoor Research. I've been wearing an OR hardshell Axcess jacket for the past ~12 years, and just recently, the zipper attachment fabric failed. I contacted Outdoor Research and they covered the issue under warranty and gave me full credit toward a new jacket. Nice! Now that I have this Tungsten jacket, I can really tell OR has been improving their products over the past decade. This jacket feels much lighter, even though it is just as warm as my previous jacket. I also notice that this jacket's shell material feels more flexible and soft, which makes the jacket very comfortable to wear, and makes movement feel more free and unrestricted. Two thumbs up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Feature Rich Jacket I really like almost everything about it. We hike in the PNW a lot and I wanted something waterproof and warm. The size Large fits great on me at 5' 10", 170lbs. The only real issue I have is the main front double-zipper, I struggle with it. Both getting it started to zip up and once I have zipped it down, I struggle getting both of the zipper heads to separate from the other side. It did get a little frustrating a couple times messing with it so much. It could very well be me and my ability to work said double-zipper in the first place though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish, comfortable and a well thought out jacket. I use this jacket for when I have to take my instructor jacket off. It's is warm and comfortable and allows me to move around without limiting my mobility. The jacket has proven to me that it can stay warm and dry in rain, snow and freezing temperatures! The zips are perfectly located for being able to release heat. The one thing I would say is that the zips are awkward to grab hold off with ski gloves on meaning I have to sometimes take my gloves off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty solid, but one or two details for improvement I'm 5'8", 200 pounds, 35" waist, muscular build, and a large fits me well. The size chart is true to size. This jacket is great - it feels lightweight for the level of warmth, the mobility is great, the arms are long enough that I can raise them over my head and the cuffs don't ride up, the length in the back is long enough that the jacket doesn't ride up my back, and the powder skirt doesn't get in the way when I'm not using it. There's room to layer but the fit is still nice. The hood is large enough to fit over a helmet. The wrist closures are thin, they lay flat, and they fit under gauntlet gloves really well. The elastic-corded hems are well placed in the hood so you can adjust the hood so that it fits well, and the brim of the hood holds its shape well. Now the bads: The plastic clip on the back of the hood is designed to hook into a loop on the jacket back and keep the hood folded back for when you're not wearing a helmet, but the gap on the clip is so big that it doesn't work at all. When you hook the hood, if you move at all the clip just falls off the fabric loop. It just doesn't work. OR could fix this by redesigning the clip so so it's tighter on the loop, or pad the loop with batting between the fabric layers to make it fatter so it resists falling out of the clip. The inside baffle on the zipper has a tendency to fold over. Once creased, it tends to happen every time and you lose the benefit of the soft microfleece lining. OR can fix this by adding a small tab of velcro to hold the baffle in place on the inside of the jacket. The fact that I'm complaining about the hood clip and the creased baffle should tell you that this jacket is a pretty solid piece of gear. With these two changes it would be perfect. You should buy this jacket if you're going skiing or standing around when it's windy and cold. Possibly for snowmobiling. Don't buy this to go backpacking as there are better shells from OR for that. 8.5/10, worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect 6'3", 275lbs, regular snowboarder. Purchased XXL Overall I'm impressed with the jacket. I put seven days on it wearing it out in Breckenridge. Weather ranged from high 20's to low 40's, 12" of powder. The vents were a lifesaver and kept me cool when the temps rose. Most of the time I only wore a long sleeve shirt under it and utilized the vents to moderate climate control. The pockets are reasonable and accessible. Wouldn't mind a seconds sleeve pocket on the opposite. As far as sizing goes, I general purchase XL, but went XXL. I would say if youre my size or smaller you could probably get away with XL. The sleeves are very long on me, which causes some over heating on the wrists but is manageable. The hood clip doesn't have any practically advantage as its doesn't work. I might modify with a clip with a gate. I love the high collar. Blocks wind, as with the rest of the jacket. Water proofing was acceptable. One downside of the inner collar is the protective fleece that covers the zipper folds to my right and you constantly fight with it as a regular stance snowboarder. As a skier this probably wont be an issue. I like the design and think its a great overall jacket which provides a little bit of insulation. I would definitely buy again, might size down next time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket but not very insulated Not as insulated as I was expecting. I was looking for something warmer. I also didn't care for the zipper flap. Excellent OR quality as always, but I returned the jacket and purchased a heavier more insulated one.
