The Outdoor Research Men's Vigor Heavyweight Sensor Glove is a fleece glove for cold weather. Winter trail runs to chilly hikes, this glove is the heaviest in the ActiveTemp fleece line. Rated 3 out of 5 by BigO from Didn’t like the fit [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They appeared to be a good quality and probably would have functioned well but I was not at all with the fit. Having said that please understand everyone has different shaped hands. l have been buying gloves for LE/military use for decades and l know some brands are just not for me. I had never owed OR gloves before but their reputation necessitated giving them a try. Unfortunately for me my hands were not a good shape for their product. I gave them 3 stars because l felt going any lower with their reputation and appearance of quality and functionality would be unfair and going any higher without actually being able to use them and speak from experience would be unfair. So a 3 it is.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mike from DO NOT BUY THESE GLOVES Ordered these gloves to use for bike commuting in the cold. I based my size selection on the sizing guide provided, measured my hand and order according to their recommendation. The gloves came and are too small. When I called regarding an exchange I learned that you cannot exchange items for free. Even though the sizing was based on their recommendation, I am stuck paying for return shipping. The customer service agent claimed the company "isn't set up for return shipping," which just means they don't want to pay it. Stay away unless you want to be stuck with extra costs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Garrett from Durable, but with some shortcomings [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these about a month ago for light outdoor use, like taking my dog on walks. On the good side, these gloves feel like they're durable, and they keep my hands pretty warm even when it’s windy. On the bad side, some of the fingers are too long; i have longer fingers, but the pointer finger of the glove is longer than my actual finger so there’s an empty spot at the end which makes it difficult to use with my phone or other tasks that require dexterity. This kind of defeats the purpose of buying them to use with my phone outdoors, which is why I gave it 3 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jordan from Warm but bulky in the fingers I bought these gloves primarily as commuting gloves and as inserts into a large pair of mittens I have. I have enjoyed how warm these gloves are; however, I find that the insulation is somewhat separated from the fabric at the tips of the fingers rendering the touch screen portion of these gloves unusable. After going to a local retailer to see if I've purchased the wrong size, I confirmed that in either size, all the heavyweight gloves are the same. The room for the insulation prevents me from being able to answer a call on my phone or from doing fine tasks like easily picking a key of off my key chain.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BH from Not a glove to buy for colder temperatures Got this pair of gloves for walking/jogging in the chilly New England temperatures. Look sharp- Fit is good once you jam your hand through the tight wrist area. I wore them out today for the first time- in fairness it is 30 degrees- went out for an hour and a half- I realized my hands were not warm- especially the index finger with the different fabric due to being able to use your phone- that finger was much colder. I actually did second half of the walk with glove on one hand and other barehanded- crazy but my hand without glove was warmer than the one with the glove- Couldn't recommend these gloves

Rated 3 out of 5 by W.R. from Sizing is 'OFF' I have this style of glove in Medium-weight. They are excellent gloves. I ordered these heavyweight ones in the exact same size as the medium-weight ones and they don't fit. It is almost as if the same pattern is used for sizing, but it doesn't take into account the thicker fabric. Frustrating as it isn't worth shipping back for return.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Patrick from Cold and bulky Good fit and I like how they connect together so I don't lose one. However, I wouldn't mind if I lost both of them. I needed something warmer than some liner gloves for running and wanted a fingertip compatible with a phone and watch unlike all my other warm gloves. These weren't good for either of those and are quite bulky on top of that. I left a handful of four and five star reviews for other OR gear, but these don't do anything as advertised. They are no warmer than the liner gloves they replaced, the fingertip does nothing on my phone and there's not enough grip on them to open dog bags when walking the dogs. My fingertips get oddly cold wearing these. I cannot fathom how little warmth they have for that much bulk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Adam from Very impressed I use these for ski touring when the weather is in the teens, or if it's a cold day at the resort. These bad boys/good girls take care of the hands by keeping them warm (but not too warm) and dry. Holy moley I love 'em. They also work well when the morning weather is cold in Northern Utah and you have to drive somewhere in your old truck and grabbing the steering wheel is like trying to yard on the tusk of a breached narwhal in order to give that adorable puppy a kiss on the cheek. 10/10 would buy again but probably won't need to because of OR's excellent warranty.
