Essential multipurpose layerI got this base layer last year for hiking 14ers in CO and trail running, and it is absolutely wonderful. I love the sun protection without having to reapply sun screen every hour. It is super lightweight and breathable in the heat but is also useful for keeping the chill off in the morning. There are a few spots where it has begun to wear through but it's not super bad. Overall I would buy this again and recommend. One con for me are the colors. OR... What the heck are this year's colors? Who wears bright orange/yellow and hot pink? The good colors go so quickly. And the second con is they don't have a thumb hole like the men's last season.

Great hoodie!Love everything about this hoodie! I did return for size L as the M was tight in the bust. The fabric feels great on, fits under a fleece, keeps sun off all the sensitive areas (neck and upper chest especially). It dries in seconds after perspiring. You can wear it in warm weather or cool weather under something. It was a bit cool when I first wore it but it was very sunny and I'm a ginger so sun can be a problem for me. The color (Radiant "yellow") is so vibrant is just makes you happy!

I own many of these!I almost exclusively wear Echo tops now, for biking, hiking, backpacking. Only on the very hottest days would I probably reach for something else. Even then, it would have to be pretty darned hot. I love these, the weight is perfect, the hood with the ponytail slot is very nice, I have had many women ask me where I got this shirt, they notice that ponytail! Great for sun protection too! I think I have about 4 or 5 of these now. And I am sure I will keep adding. They are lightweight, and they snag easily. So I know they won't last forever. But they are perfect for what I want in a top for outdoor wear!

Snags and frays instantly, but otherwise I like itI was really psyched about this - it's lightweight, provides good sun protection, and fits well. But, over a single day hike, the fabric snagged and frayed by simply being in contact with the hip belt of my pack. I hope you'll improve the durability of the material in the future, because I loved everything else :(

Lacks durability but still a wardrobe staple100% lightest most beeezy sun hoodie out there. I even bought two (yellow color is amazing). Buuuut it's strength is also it's weakness. This thing will snag if you even look at something rough. Seriously, I barely brushed a piece of wood and it snagged. It'll probably snag on your boyfriends (or your own) calloused hands. That's actually why I bought two, cause I knew it wasn't going to last long. So love/hate...can't have light and breezy and durable it seems.

Ultralight and very comfortable sun protectionJust got back from backpacking in Zion and wore this hoody the whole time. It's really light and keeps your cool while also providing great sun protection. I do wish they still had the green color though. I will also add that last year I bought the red-ish one, which turned out to he neon orange. I returned it bc I wanted red and it was also fairly see-through. I purchased the storm grey bc it was the least lame color, besides navy (bring back the green and please also make one in maroon!) The grey isn't see-through and I really like it overall. I'm a ginger and burn easily. The sun protection performed as expected.

My favorite sun hoodieI buy a couple of these every year. I wear them climbing, mountaineering, ski touring trail running, and just around town. They fit great and are lightweight. They aren't perfect, as they absolutely will snag on rocks and branches. Despite that, I'll still continue to buy them and climb in them since they're the best I've found. I miss the pullover mittens that the old version had - would love to see you bring that style back.

So light! The sleeves on the extra large are just a little short, and I like the men's sleeves with longer length with thumbholes much better than whatever is going on with the womens shirt. Are they pockets? Finger covers? No one knows. Anyway it would be nice to have that and an option for a tall size. The length on the XXL looks closer to mine but then everything would be way too wide on me. Also it would be nice to see some additional colors, and for the hot climates they could be light reflecting options (ie light purple, light yellow, light pink, light blue etc)
