Product Reviews
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great in the south in Colorado not It's 37 degrees and it's not a warm down coat in Denver. My last coat had a 500 down, and is still warmer after two years of feathers leaking. It'd be a great coat in New Orleans, South Texas, but too cold in Denver. I wouldn't bother trying it in the mountains. The loft hasn't recovered from shipping over a week ago, and the arms are just cold. Fits perfectly and looks good, just not a real parka, like there's 250 chicken down in it. Will be returning to Moosejaw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Black color is not black! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the jacket in black because I was looking to replace an older down jacket. The jacket arrived today and it's NOT black. Slate grey, with a fuschia interior, and a tag that clearly says "black". The black color is not black--see photo for contrast with an actual black item of clothing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit was true to size and material/quality seemed great. I did not like the color (Prussian Blue). It was more green than I was expecting, and the light blue lining clashed. I wish it had snaps over the zipper for those times you don't want to zip up but don't want the coat flapping open. So the search continues. The color and lack of snaps are my personal hang-ups so if they don't bother you it's definitely one to try.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fit and Color not as expected Didn't quite fit as expected, as the arms were a good 4-5 inches too long on me. I am 5'5", 140 lbs, bought the medium, and usually don't have a problem with arm length on coats and other clothing. I purchased the Hazelwood color, which I expected to be more white than the dark straw tan-ish color it turned out to be. Overall, I think the coat looked great, it just wasn't quite as expected and didn't fit me well, so I returned it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super warm! I have used this so far to attend my daughter's hockey practices. Works like a charm! I used to use a down blanket, layers, and my Sonata jacket, but I get by just fine with this parka. I am cold most of the time anyway, and this is the first jacket that I actually overheat in if I wear it indoors. The length is perfect and it is truly windproof.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Terrible Zipper [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The zipper on this parka got jammed the first time I wore it and was permanently stuck. And this was a replacement for the same jacket that had the same problem before! I wanted to love this jacket because it has so many other great features, so I tried again... but no thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING LOVE this jacket. I took it on a weekend trip to upstate NY and was able to roll it into a 3L stuff sack to put in my carryon and also take in my clear bag for a college football game. It was great to guard against the wind and looked great too. I am a size 2, and the XS fit perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase! I am super happy with this coat. It's stylish and warm and is perfect to wear to/from the office in my cold little mountain town. I've never owned a longer puffy and now I won't ever go without one! I love it!
