No zipper pocket like the 2021 styleI see that on the new men's style OR kept the zipper pocket on the side. Why is it that outdoor clothing companies believe that women don't need decent pockets or zipper pockets? True adventure women need the SAME type of pockets as men.

Not as good as the old Ferrosi Shorts...I have the Ferrosi 7 Inch shorts size 14 from 2021 and they are so much better than this year's rendition. I wore last year's pair non-stop outside and knew I had to get another pair this year. Unfortunately, I'm only left with disappointment for these shorts. I knew about the side pocket zipper changed based on the other reviews and I echo the same sentiment...the side zipper pocket is extremely useful for stashing things and the small zipper pockets on the bum of the 2022 version do not make up for the removal of the side pocket. The other issue I have with these pants is the fit. The size 14 from 2021 fit me a little loose but was easily remedied with the waist cinch. This year's shorts in the same size are way too tight!! It's a huge bummer because the size 14 is the largest size offered and based on the measurements, bumping up to a plus size is going to be too large. Overall, I'm super bummed about the changes made to these shorts this season and had to return them. If you fix the sizing issue, I'd give them another go next year.

Yes I would buy these agian.I use these shorts for hiking, camping, the zoo, and other outdoor activities that I might get sweaty or dirty doing. They fit great. I wear a women's 14-16 depending on the bottoms and the 14 fits very well. They have a little give in them as well which is nice. I love that the slightly longer inseam helps prevent them from riding up in between the legs when walking ( I find it annoying when my shorts do that). I hike with my phone in the back pocket and have not had any issues. I also like that the front pockets are very deep! The side zipper pocket is not very big but is still useful for things like keys and tissues.

I'll wait for more pockets.Came here to finally buy a pair of OR shorts but I'll wait for better pockets. Not worth it for the price to not have a pocket to stash my phone in.

Sizing, fit, styling different than Ferrosi pantI have a size 8 in the Ferrosi pant and have loved them for my work as a manager of a mountain bike trail system. I bought the short thinking it would be the same or similar fit but the 8 was way too small. I'm hesitant to even try a 10.

No side pocket?Thigh pocket is absolutely necessary for carrying your phone when doing multi-pitch climbing. It's a shame the side pocket is gone...

OR Ferossi Short 7”[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well…these shorts are not your typical good quality OR Ferossi shorts. I own several pairs of these shorts from several years. OR has completely redesigned this short. And not for the better. The fit is way off. Too narrow in the waist & hips. If you order these size up 1 size.And the material is no longer the nice quality Ferossi fabric. Also these no longer come with a gusseted crotch. Not Sue why OR changed their perfect short!
