Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too small for layering Size small fits me perfectly in other OR jackets but not this one. It's uncomfortably tight and restrict movement in the belly/hips area with even a light fleece or sweater underneath it. It rides up so I'm constantly pulling it down. Should have gotten a Medium but I ordered a small based on the dimensions the OR customer service rep gave me. It's so frustrating when company sizing is inconsistent. I'm 5'2" and 110lbs and a small should allow light layers underneath!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed with fit - Returning I was so excited for this hoody - it is a much more affordable version of the super lightweight Patagonia micro puff hoody that I've been eyeing. Unfortunately the fit is super weird - I am ALWAYS a size small (REI and Patagonia brand puffies, and all my OR brand shirts and sweatershirts). But this is cut more like a rectangle/men's cut rather than flaring at the hips like other womens' jackets. This means it was so tight on the hips that it rode up to my waist when I walked, creating a weird poof in the zipper up at the collar bone. Definitely not comfy enough for walking around all day backpacking (which is why I bought it). Perhaps someone with a longer torso or a more rectangular build would not have this problem but I will be returning it. Oh and the hood is strangely oversized. For reference I am 128 lbs, 5'2'', measurements 35"/28"/40" (chest, waist, butt/hip), bought a size small.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing Fit This fits narrow in the hips. I'm usually a S in all OR tops but after trying this jacket out with layers I'm regretting not having bought a M. It's fine with a shirt in under it but don't try to layer with a fleece - even a thin one. I'm 5'2" and 110lbs so I never buy a M.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent down alternative I bought this on a whim. I couldn't believe how well it measures up to my mountain hardwear ghost whisperer regarding weight, packability, and warmth. Although slightly bulkier, the material is more durable and acted astonishingly well as a windbreaker and rain jacket for my November trip in Iceland. A down jacket would not have kept me dry and wind resilient. I will definitely be traveling with this on all of my upcoming adventures. Regarding the style: As other reviews stated is is tight in the hips but other than that the fit is pretty flattering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE!!!!!!!!!!! Wore this today (test run for touring) on a rather uncomfortably cold, windy day (35mph+) up a mountain, twice and it out performed everything I could have hoped for! This is my new go-to for windy days at freezing (wind chill in the teens). I was not once cold anywhere the jacket had me covered, but also, I didn't overheat! Size Small, I'm 5'1", about 120lbs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Strangely wide arms Just received this jacket and am on the fence about whether or not I'll keep it. Warm, lightweight, and packable but has an odd fit. Tight in the hips and strangely wide in the chest/arms. I feel a bit like a cartoon character in it. Love the blue color. 5'7' 145 lbs and bought the medium. It feels like the appropriate size- I think a large would be super big in the chest. Just an odd cut.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lightweight and good warmth I like that this is really lightweight but good warmth in mild cold weather. I've only worn it around town so far in about high 30s degree weather at coldest with usually a T and flannel and it's kept me warm even on a bike. It's also great that I can wear it on warmer days like 50 but I don't get too hot. When it's cold and raining I wear it under the helium rain jacket when I bike. I have a size S which gives a little room for layers underneath (I'm 5' 2", 110lbs). Look forward to seeing how it will do in colder weather - !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great light layer! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this and unfortunately it didn't fit. I found this and the synthetic helium to be too tight on my hips. I could have gotten away with it but decided to continue my search. It's a great jacket though! I am slightly pear shaped and this happens every now and then. I bought a medium and am typically between a size 8-10, 5'3" and 150 lbs. I was pretty bummed! I thought it would be a great layer beneath my hardshell and still think so. I never got to test it though.
