Product Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for DRY high output activities I have used this jacket for cycling and for hiking. It did great for both, my only issue and I think it was user error rather than the jacket was that it's water resistant and not water proof. So when I went hiking, it started raining and unfortunately it rained for about 3 hours and it was definitely more than a mist. This jacket is good for high output activities however I would recommend a rain shell or a different jacket if you expect lots of/decent amounts of rain. I will say in the jacket's defense it did a decent job of drying once the sun came out. Also I bought the large but it's a bit big on me, but I guess if I get fat the jacket will still fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fall mountain jacket! I've been using this jacket for fall excursions into the mountains. It's been fantastic! It's lightweight, keeps me warm without overheating. The other day it was snowing hard up high, and the jacket kept me warm. As I hiked back to lower elevations it was pouring rain- the jacket continued to keep not only warm but completely dry. I am usually between a S and M, I went with an M and am happy with the fit. I can fit a decent sized puffy underneath if needed, and it isn't too big to wear alone. I got the Teaberry color and love it - it's also a great bright color now for hunting season! I'm excited to use it this winter for skiing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great outdoor activity jacket I bought this jacket for cross country skiing and winter bike riding and it has not disappointed one bit. I really like the orange colour as I ride my bike at night and live very far north (even for a Canadian) and I like that I am highly visible to vehicles. I bought a women's XL - I usually take an OR Large and thought I would size up so that I could layer underneath, but there was no need to do that as I can easily get two layers of wool under the jacket. Because my jacket is a little large, it is a little bit too long in the body. I am not inconvenienced enough to send it back. All-in-all, another fabulous OR purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Epic little compact buddy The Refuge Air jacket is great! It's very compact and light, the stretch gives for lots of mobility and arm movement, it is breathable so great for activities, and it still looks super nice so I also wear it around town. The only down side to it is the slim fit, if there were a relaxed and regular fit also available I believe it would be perfect. I am a curvy girl, so I fit but it is snug around my hips. The color is amazing though! It helps me stay visible and somehow stays bright as I can wipe off all the stains I have created with how much a klutz I am. It also has served me super well in wet conditions for paddle boarding and my work as a Fisheries Biologist. I have taken it hiking, biking, camping, and used it to wrap my pups up...so I'd say its pupper approved ;)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Jacket for taking walks in the cold temperature. I bought size L in the red Teaberry color and I like it. It is more like the strawberry color which I like. It is a happy color and not dark dull red. As for the fit, Patagonia size L fits me perfectly. I am 5' 9" and weigh l64 lbs. Outdoors Research size L is a bit fitted on me and the XL is a bit lose on me. I use the jacket for hiking in the cold weather and it does keep me warm. Not sure about keeping me dry, the moisture wicking layer I have under get soaked with sweat and the jacket itself get damped from my sweat. Had to wash it right after the hike. It is good jacket for taking walks in the cold temperature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect combination of warmth and breathability!!! I purchased this jacket for my wife and she used if for the first time this past weekend on a backpacking trip up in the Cascades here in Oregon. She absolutely loved the jacket. It is the perfect combination of light weight warmth and packability. It got pretty chilly in the evenings and early mornings and the jacket kept her very warm, but yet it breathed very well as we started moving and she never overheated from activity. This will definitely be a constant companion on our outdoor adventures. Thanks for another great product, OR!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light, warm, and durable I really put this jacket to the test and I'm so happy with it! I'm a trail worker in the Sierra Nevadas where proper layering is crucial. I needed something breathable that I could work hard and sweat in in a cold environment while staying dry. This has been the perfect 2nd layer and has stood up to everything I've put it through. Its durable, breathable, super light and comfy.
