Product Reviews
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Super Flattering Looks nice on the website and the model in the video but it isn't super flattering on me. I'm 5'2 and 128 lbs and I don't know if it is the shape of it or the insulation and I don't know how to put it any other way but it makes me look overweight and I'm not. I got a size small. It also isn't super warm. The northern Minnesota wind does come through while on the slopes. Might be warm enough if using it while being a little more active like snowshoeing. I like length of arms, thumb holes, length of jacket and that hood fits over helmet. Those are the positives.Wishing I would have went with a Gore-Tex shell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sizing I just wanted to make a note about the size because after reading the other reviews, I opted for an XS-which I normally would not buy. I'm 5'2 and 128 lbs (for a reference, I wear between a size 6-8 in jeans). The length was good and sleeves as well but it was a wee bit tight around the waist. Plus the jacket is pretty thin so you will want to wear a fleece or something underneath if you are someone who is out skiing in temps below 20. So with the bulk you have to wear under (plus ski pants), you may want to go with a size small unless you are really petite and thin. I'll be returning for a size up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not OR quality This jacket does not seem like OR quality to me. My primary issue is the very cheap coil zippers used. They are hard to open and close and on my second wear, one of the pocket zippers came off the track. It's been impossible to fix. I'm not sure if it's a sewing defect, but there are no stoppers on the pocket zippers. All the seams are plain seams, not double stitched. It also arrived with the coat hook not sewn in. Overall I don't think this jacket is very well made, especially for the price and OR brand. The positives for me are the fit, the warmth and the color. I am 5'10" and I really like the length of this jacket. I've used the jacket four times now in 15 degree, snowy weather and have stayed warm. The teal color is really nice in person.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Color I really loved the color of this jacket and the long length for riding lifts. The fabric is wonderful and the coat is warm. But the large was too big so I returned and got this medium, which fit perfectly. The only problem with this jacket are the zippers. On the first day the pocket zipper broke and the main zipper is difficult to zip up. I returned and got a different jacket. I just did not want to deal with the zippers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket is exactly what I've been looking for! I don't climb mountains & I don't ski or snowboard down them either. What I am though is a woman that has lived her entire life in the cold, windy & relentlessly wet Pacific Northwest. I commute to work by bus & for years I have been looking for a durable & warm coat big enough to wear over bulky hoodies & scarves... & yet, still light enough that I don't feel weighted down while trying to get where I'm going. Victory! I have finally found it in this winter jacket. If you know anything about NW weather then you know how torrential the rain can be. I have already worn this in pouring rain & was amazed to watch the fabric bounce the water right off of it. Even though I don't ski or snowboard, I still love jackets that have the inner elastic bottom & snapping feature that keeps out snow. I've had other jackets that are stiff in this area & make it feel as if they are tugging on me while I'm walking. The elastic on this jacket is very pliable & doesn't tug at the layers underneath it at all. The interior fabric is smooth & easily slides over what I'm wearing underneath, making it feel super comfy & roomy. This is important to me because the last thing I want to focus on during cold wet weather is an uncomfortable coat. Even though it's a big winter coat that holds my body heat in incredibly well, it doesn't feel bulky or heavy at all. This jacket makes me feel like I'm bundled up in a silky soft warm blanket. The bonus feature of the thumb holes on the inner cuff layer of the sleeves was unexpected, & has quickly become a necessity I didn't know that I wanted or needed. Forwhatitsworth... if I was a skier or snowboarder I can see how this jacket would work fabulously for those activities, &/or anything snow related. It just happened that I needed this jacket for my fall & winter commute instead. Now I feel militarized against the weather & I'm kinda excited for the next storm I have to slodge my way through. Finally I'm winning at coat'ing!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish I Could Have Tried It On I ignored all of the reviews about the bad zippers because I loved the look of the jacket, it met my needs, and the price was right. Don't ignore the zipper reviews! Jacket finally arrived, I was very excited to wear it skiing next weekend, and I couldn't even get the coat unzipped to try it on. So disappointing. Even more disappointing is having to pay for the shipping to return a coat that they shouldn't be selling, in all honesty. Felt like good quality otherwise, just wish it was functional.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The jacket fits well, pocket zippers are weak This jacket has all the things I wanted. A ski skirt, an arm pocket for the ski pass, and a place for my goggles. However, after a day of skiing the zippers on the front two pocket both disconnected from the bottoms holder and would not longer zip shut. It's a good jacket I just need my things to stay in the pockets and now those are not usable until I find a seamstress to repair them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Faulty Zippers :( I want to give this jacket a good review as I usually love OR products, but both side zippers broke the first day I wore it. Last weekend I wore the jacket skiing and the first time I unzipped the left side pocket, it broke. The zipper is only attached to one side. I put my cell phone in the right side pocket as I was at the mountain when this happened. At some point during the day the cell phone fell out and the right side pocket broke the same way the left one did. I lost my phone on a trail and didn't realize it until it was too late. Now both side pockets are completely broken. The front zipper is also a pain and does not easily zip up or down. I will say that aside from the pockets I like everything else about the coat and was very excited about it, but as someone who skis every weekend- I need pockets! It appears I am not the only person who has had issues with the zippers as well. I hope that OR will consider remodeling the jacket with new zippers
