Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the parka to keep you warm in the frigid winter! This parka is amazing. I typically prefer synthetic insulation so I don't overheat going from car to store to work etc., but I live in Vermont. It is COLD here. I walk my dog every day, watch outdoor events and have a few blocks to trek downtown when I do go to work. When I say cold, I mean that the high without windchill was 5° F today. With his parka on, I don't feel the chill. I don't get that awful pinching in my shoulders. It makes me happy to get outside on those cold days - which are always accompanied by blue sky! Certainly not to wear while exercising, but GREAT for keeping warm. Hood and collar fit great. Cuffs are comfortable. At 5'8" and 140 lbs I was a medium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Winter Jacket I've Ever Owned I live in MN which can get up to -50F windchill at times. This jacket is super thick but doesn't make me look like a puffed marshmallow. Extremely warm, does not need extra layers underneath like most winter jackets do. I was sweating wearing a Patagonia sweater underneath. It has a nice inside pocket to keep your cell phone warm next to your body, otherwise it loses battery life in extreme cold. The zipper sometimes sticks at the bottom but that's due to the fact it sits mid-thigh so it would be difficult on any jacket to get zipped up. I've worn this jacket shoveling snow, long walks with my dog, and general errand running.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2+ Years and Still Rocking This an updated review - I last reviewed this parka about 2 years ago. So, everything about this park is AWESOME except the bottom half snags/rips/wears down easily. I've sewn a few patches onto this jacket because I refuse to accept that the material isn't as durable. To OR - great parka but please for God's sake replace the material on the bottom half. A little piece of my soul dies whenever I see feathers falling/poking out of new holes. I wear this puppy in non-freezing conditions because I run cooler and it is the best, honestly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would absoletly buy again! I LOVE this parka! I live in Denver, CO and purchased it for use in the winter here and when traveling during the winter. I wore it for a week in New England last month with temperatures in the 20-30s and it was very warm and cozy. I love all of the extra features such as the thumbhole sleeves, the fleece lined pockets and fleece lining around the neck of the hood. This coat is very comfortable and fits well with light layering underneath. I purchased a size Small (5'6" 135lb, thin, athletic body type). I would highly recommend this parka!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely Parka! I've only had this parka for a few days, but I know I will love it! I live in south central Montana and it'll be perfect to hop around our little town in! I know it'll be great because I had an OR vest that was a replica of this parka! It had a zipper malfunction after having it awhile and OR was completely awesome/easy to work with/super pleasant about guaranteeing their work. I miss the vest immensely (I wore it all of the time!), and once they make it again (hooded!) I will first in line to purchase it. I used the credit leftover towards this parka, which is super comfy, easy to wear or layer under! Thanks OR for making great products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HIGHLY Recommend I found out about OR through a friend and I'm SO glad I did because it's now my favorite brand. To be honest, I was hesitant to buy a coat other than black, but I really love this storm color (definitely appears lighter than what's presented on the internet and it has a light pink inside). This coat is unbelievably warm and I've only tested it in the teens so far. I walk my dog in it, wear it for an evening out, and it's slowly turned into my every day winter coat. I'm 5'5" and this parka goes just above my knees and fits my arms perfectly - plus their are thumbholes that I LOVE.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One year in, love the coat, questioning its longevity I bought this coat last winter and wore it almost daily January - March, and started again this past October as the Stockholm winter got colder. I really liked it right away. It is a comfortable weight and length. I especially liked the reinforced shoulders because I wear a backpack (a basic patagonia daypack) daily for my commute to work, and didn't want them to start wearing through. Unfortunately, that is what has exactly what has started to happen, but instead on the lower back. The fabric is separating, there is down leaking out, and I am disappointed that I will likely have to place a large patch on the back before it rubs all the way through. I was expecting a longer lifespan from an OR coat. So, this is a qualified recommendation: it is a great coat, as long as you don't regularly carry a pack or bag that might cause wear.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only for spring or fall weather I was very confused when I received this parka in the mail as most of the reviews confirmed the warmth of this jacket. I live in Winnipeg where our temp, in the depth of winter can reach -40. I could not believe how thin the material was. I tested this park in -15 temps and there is no way this would withstand our harsh winter. Ascetically, the parka is very nice. It would be good for cool temperatures but not for harsh ones like ours.
