Nice pants, but the fit won't work for everyoneThese pants are very stylish, for both climbing and casual wear, and the fabric seems durable and does have a little stretch. However, at 5'5" and 115 lbs, I have almost the exact proportions of a size 2 in the size chart and the fit was laughably bad. Absolutely enormous at the waist (yes, the drawstring helps with that, but a drawstring can only do so much when faced with many inches of excess fabric) and squished my butt into oblivion. I can't imagine climbing in them. If you're a little straighter through the waist and hips, these pants will fit you perfectly, and I'll look on with envy when I see you at the crag. In the meantime, hey OR -- how about a curvy fit? :)

Before purchasing I read all of the reviews stating that the pants have narrow hips, and I was like sick! Me too! Well these are next level narrow. I can only get these on if I lay down and then squeeze into them. And when I stand... well let's just say the muffin man no longer lives on drury lane. Alright back to these being snug in the hips.... one time my friend looked at me and said "you know they're going to have to break your hips when you give birth because they're too narrow." (?!?) If I have to endure comments of this nature I shouldn't have to endure pants being too tight there. I purchased a sale pair that can't be returned. So I was trying to think of which friends could maybe take these from me. I have tons of smaller friends but I literally couldn't think of anyone who would fit in these...

A mans reviewI bought these because I love jogger pants and I love the wadi rum fabric from OR. I got these in a Women's 12 roughly 34". I am 5"9' 175#'s. They fit great the fabric is top notch. The biggest issue with these pants are the zippered pocket lies right over my knee so if I put my phone or wallet in that pocket it hangs out over my kneecap. I have a strong suspicion this is due to being pant made for women on a dude. Otherwise this pant is rad and wont dissapoint! But please make these in a mens cut so I can buy 5 pairs!

Bring back the originals!I'm a wildlife biologist in the pacific northwest, and it's especially important to have the right pants for fieldwork. The original Wadi Rum straight leg pant was it for me!! It's frustrating that it has been discontinued for women only, while men continue to have the straight leg option. I have to hold in my rage when my boyfriend puts his on. Please bring the original style back! Best pants ever!

ComfortableI am excited about these pants. They are stylish and comfortable, but are a bit heavier then expected. They fit me well, I was worried about some reviews that said they were large in the waist. I am 5"6, 130lbs and bought size 6. I have an athletic build with no waist, so maybe that is why I found the fit better for me? I do use the draw string to tighten them up a wee bit, and they do slide slightly during wear. My only complaint is I do find them a bit baggy in the front at the crotch. I have both the Storm and Flint colours, and particularly like the Flint.

Nice fabric. Good idea. Wish the fit was better.Big fan of the versatile fabric and style: can be worn casually or for recreation, is durable, has a bit of stretch, resists dirt, etc. Fit is alright. Had I tried this on before buying, I wouldn't have gotten it due to fit. The hips/butt is snug, thighs fit, waist is HUGE. With the stretch in the fabric, the hips/butt area stretches with wear for a comfortable fit. The waist, thankfully has a drawstring which sort of makes up for its gaping size.

BEST Field Pants I've FoundI work for the Forest Service doing all sorts of bushwhacking and hiking in Southern Arizona mountains, whether it's middle-of-the-night owl surveys climbing up and down cliffy areas or daytime botany surveys scrambling across desert rock formations. So anyways, it's safe to say that these pants get a proper workout and BOY are they durable!! I've slid down many rough rocks and done Tree Climbing Training in these bad boys and the material handles everything amazingly. Even going through burrs and sticky-seedy plants, the pokey parts of the plants don't seem to stick well, and what's left gets washed right out once it's laundry day. PLUS THE POCKETS wow, I love being able to actually fit stuff in my pockets and have the items STAY in the dang pockets. The zip pocket on the thigh is a lifesaver - I keep a knife and my phone in that pocket and can ZIP it easily (I have an iPhone11 with a case on, so it's pretty big). That thigh pocket is amazing, keeps items out of my climbing harness' way and I have easy access when I need it. I will note that the sizing may trend bigger. My weight has gone up recently and I'm getting used to my new body, so I'm not sure at all what size I should be! But I'm 5'3" and 150lbs (mainly thicker booty/thighs), longer torso but shorter legs. My waist circumference is probably 28", high hips 37", low hip/booty 42", inseam like 26" long. I originally bought a size 8 but they loosen up a lot once you're hiking or sweating in them, to the point that I had about 5-6in of space in the waist. So I bought a size 6 and they're just about perfect! They still loosen a little, but more to a comfortable fit.. only about 2-3 extra inches. I just wear an Arcade Belt in them when I'm in the field so my pants aren't moving around my waist too much. Also, due to my shortness the length of these pants are PERFECT and go past my ankles haha, so they're more like a proper pant for me.

Functional and Fun; Fit Needs FinesseThese are great joggers. They are a durable and comfortable fabric, and the color (green) is quite nice. The zipper pocket allows for stowing a phone or camera securely, or stuffing your watch in there when you realize you forgot to take it off halfway through a climb. However, the sizing seems a bit off for athletic builds. I am 5'5" with a 28" waist, and while the drawstring waist/belt loops ensure I can wear them without falling down, the waist has to be tightened so significantly that it bunches up and looks like it doesn't fit quite right. Maybe OR could offer Slim/Reg/Plus options? Or simply be a bit clearer with their sizing information? Overall a great pair of versatile outdoor pants.
