Single boa not an issue for wider feet[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm two commutes and one trail ride into wearing these X-ALP and so far so good. I'm a wide size 12 but tend to go up to 47 for cycling shoes for some extra room. These fit well and the boa cinches well enough to feel secure even though it only really tightens at the top.
On the bike these feel stiff enough to do most of what I'm doing on a normal commute, and held up decently to some trail abuse. They are vented, and needed double socks on a commute in the 30's. They've been comfortable in all conditions though.
The only drawback is they feel slick off the bike. The sole is a hard plastic and I find I have to step rather carefully on tile and wood, not ideal for once I get to the office. If this improves as they get broken in they'll be perfect.
