Prana Stretch Zion Fabric
Prana Stretch Zion Fabric offers the stretch and durability necessary for staying active through climbing, hiking and more. Lightweight and quick-drying, so perspiration doesn't become an issue. Holds up against abrasion and a durable water repellent to shed light rain, splashes from a creek and even a spill from your water bottle.
Durable Water Repellent
DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

O.M.G.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seriously, these are the best pants I've ever had. Not just the best hiking pants, but the best pants. They are very comfortable, to the point that I often use them to lounge around, at home or traveling. They look decent; wore them to a nice restaurant just last night. And with the fit and stretch, they are outstanding hiking pants I even use the roll up/snap legs when it gets warm. They are definitely a notch heavier than my basic summer convertible nylon hiikng pants, but I got them for cool, even cold temps and they work well. I've been fine in single digits with some long underwear. I plan to get another pair.

Great light weight pants[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 34/30 in green. Love the feel of the fabric. The side pocket is nice - but two issues with it. My iPhone 10 with a minimal case can just barely fit- and the 10 is not a large phone. The other issue is that the pocket is about 3-4 inches to low... it is around the knee. So anything - like my phone- that has any type of weight feels awkward. Lastly, one of the buttons after it’s first snap and unsnap has already seemed to have loosened up. Odd. With all that said I will probably get another pair due to that they fit well and feel great. I work with scouts, so wear them often- great pants for the outdoors and backpacking!

Prana goodness convertible style![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the Prana Zion fans you know what you’re getting into here... Convertible version of Prana’s awesome comfort and durable pants we all love! For non-believers... Take the plunge. What I love most about these is not being able to feel like there are any zippers in the knees. Not much bulky zipper stash like other brands. Brion and Zion pants are some of the most versatile pants I’ve ever worn! Water resistant and office friendly! I’ve tried many brands of like quality, nothing compares to you Prana... Seriously my other pants miss me. I’ve seen the notes they have sent. I fear a revolt soon! I much like Romeo must choose between family of old pants collecting dust or true Prana love... I’ll take the sword please!

The Perfect convertible pant![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these Prana Zion Convertible pants recently. I have already worn them several times. I have worn them on the trail twice and they are flawless. I have also worn them to a business meeting and Salsa class. I looked Great and moved well in each of these settings very comfortably. They are very breathable, comfortable, light weight and quick drying. I have only converted them into shorts once, so far. It was an easy conversion. The zippers on the legs are sturdy. THIS IS A GREAT PANT! I would recommend buying at least one pair.

Functional and Fitting[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't tested them in the backcountry but they have proved to be useful as general hiking pants. They fit well, are water resistant, and look good. Textile is a stretch material with a reasonable to exceptional amount of stretch but seems durable. Extra side pockets are useful for extra small gear storage and being zip-offs is going to be useful with some summer backpacking trips coming up. Overall a good product value - curious to see how they hold up.

Knee Zipper Too LowKnee zipper is too low - it awkwardly hits your knee every time you step. Would not suggest buying these. Prana, please raise the knee zipper ~1-2 inches!!

Dorky but Very Functional[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're buying convertible pants, you're not buying them for their style. For their purpose though, they are great. These have nice stretchiness for activities like climbing, and the material is on the thicker side which is good for durability and warmth but bad for cooling in hot weather. I have large legs from weight lifting and cycling and I appreciate that these have plenty of room in the thigh. They fit very similar to other Zion shorts that I own, but the legs are longer when they're in shorts mode.

My favorite pantsI've now purchased these pants in three colors because I love them so much. These are great for a hike, kayak trip, summer camp job, or simply to wear to classes. They fit comfortably and don't have that baggy, oversized feel you sometimes get with pants that have the cargo style pockets down the legs. I can wear these and not feel like I'm wearing some of my poorly chosen pants from my high school days, yet still get the functionality I am looking for.
Looking for pants? Buy these.
Choosing between convertible or not? Buy these.
(The zippers for the pant legs on these are not at all cumbersome, and with the convertible pants you get those pockets above both knees, whereas my pair of the non-convertibles only has a pocket on one side.)
