DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a coating that is applied to fabrics which makes them water-resistant, or hydrophobic. A DWR finish doesn't interfere with breathability, which makes it perfect for adverse conditions in the backcountry.

Cozy and waterproof[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very cozy and warm in the inside and waterproof on the outside. Perfect for days in the 30s/40s that aren’t too windy. Love the color. Highly recommend!

I found my Holy Grail of hoodies[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you sincerely appreciate a good hoodie/pullover when it’s REALLY cold, there may be no going back after owning this. Ready to Gear Nerd Out? Okay, here we go....let’s start with the Sherpa lining (aka synthetic sheep’s wool). It runs throughout the ENTIRE pullover including the hood. I recently cut my hair into a faux hawk with faded sides and now I pretty much have the hood up almost the entire time whenever I wear this pullover. The ribbed cuffs and hem are well made & fit nicely around my wrists/hipline keeping the drafts out. I also love the outside face/finish of the lining. Not only does it make me feel more polished & less gym rat looking but it’s also technical. It has the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish (not wind or waterproof, mind you, but excellent for the rain to bead up on the surface if you had to run from the store to your car in a light rainstorm AND has dirt/stain resistant properties as well - think happy dog or cat dirt paw prints which brush off a bit easier. The kangaroo pocket is fleece lined upfront which warm up cold hands immediately. It’s also roomy enough for a set of keys and my clunky iPhone 7plus & zips up securely on BOTH the left & right side for easy access. The garment washes well in cold water & I tumble dry on a low heat setting, preferring to hang dry if time allows. If I had to put down a CON, I would say 2 which are hardly considered as deal breakers. The first CON is that this pullover is so well insulated that sometimes I get too hot but thank goodness it’s a half zip so venting isn’t a problem unless I move on to Stop Start activities & then it HAS to come off. The second CON is that since it’s a pullover, some people might have a hard time getting it on & off SHOULD they like a more fitted look. I like more of a relaxed fit than the model in the pictures and only tend to only wear a T-shirt or sometimes a synthetic long sleeve base layer (less resistance to the Sherpa lining) depending on layering conditions. Surprisingly, it fits just fine under my Denali fleece OR my Cerium SV down. I’m a 38C/33/43 in size & the Large is a comfy but not baggy fit. One last thing - it is ALSO perfect for staying warm sitting in front of a computer screen for hours or if you like to save on energy costs by keeping your home a bit on the cooler side & bundling up. Initially, I bought the Bone color & it wasn’t long before I went back & got the Black color. I hope Prana never stops making this piece or makes any changes whatsoever because I
can easily see myself picking up a new color each year.

Love my cozy, warm jacket!I bought this jacket about a month ago, and have been really happy with it so far. It is very warm!! Love the kangaroo pocket with the option to zip and that it’s machine washable. I kinda wish it was a full zip to make it easier to put on/off, but it’s is great as is, and I’d say it fits true to size.

HOW to MEASURE ARM / SLEEVE LENGTH: With your arms slightly bent, measure the center of your back neck, across your shoulder and down the outside of your arm to the wrist bone.
BUST / CHEST: Place the tape measure under your arms and across the fullest part of your bust then where bra band closure generally lands on your body.
* Please note that measurement info refers to body measurements, not dimensions of the garment.
