Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Soft Shell I have ever owned! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I walk early in the morning and the temperatures can be quite cold, and the weather can be questionable in winter & spring. I bought this soft shell to wear over the RAB Alpha Flash fleece jacket for my morning walks. I could not be happier with this jacket. The fit is perfect over a fleece, the weather resistance is moderate, but has shrugged off very light rain, snow, and mist with ease. The jacket design is so simple, but has enough features to satiate most users. It is comfortable, with enough stretch to keep me happy. Love this shell...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, tough, and mobile [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been climbing in this jacket since I got it. Keeps you warm and is light without any restrictions on mobility. The material is also tough so no fear of ruining your jacket on the rocks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design compared to previous version. Recently bought the new version of this jacket in Dijon colour. Very nice colour and the fit is similar to the previous version (which is great on me, size M, 6ft average/slim build). As soon as it arrived and I tried it on, I was happy apart from the neck area. There seems to be loads of extra saggy material and just sort of hangs down and looks weird. Even looking at the photo on this website it looks the same. Unfortunately, as much as I like everything else about the jacket, this is enough for me to send it back. It’ll only annoy me if I was to keep it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Philip M I do a lot of hillwalking in Wales and I wanted a jacket that breathes as I'm a brisk walker yet at the same time wanted some protection from the elements. So far of all the jackets (at least 8 not that my wife knows!) this is the only one that I don't sweat in when I start climbing so it's comfortable all day with just a merino wool base layer in temperatures around 10 to 12°C. I don't know what its limits are in a downpour but so far it's stood up well in the rain. I also like the freedom of movement compared to the stiff bulky jackets. It does state this jacket is ideal for summer alpine climbing but for me it's ideal walking along Offa's Dyke footpath. Probably best to carry a waterproof shell jacket in a rucksack just in case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and wind protection Great fit, it’s an athletic fit but spacious enough to fit my arms in which is always an issue! I am 6’2 and weigh 20 stone so bought the XXL it’s fits nicely around the shoulders and chest leaving some free material around the stomach area. I have warn it with a fleece underneath as well! Was great from the Glenridding 12 degrees to the top of Helvellyn -1 degree snow covered. All round great jacket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well thought-out. Having used it for several long rock routes and ridges, I've been really impressed by the Torque's ability to cut the wind but also to breathe really well. I've been able to wear it with just a baselayer underneath and have stayed perfectly comfortable for the whole day. The hood fits really well with a helmet and the chest pockets make accessing a phone/guidebook really easy. Very impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for climbing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This weekend I took the jacket out for the first time to climb in Gunks. While climbing in it I completely forgot I wear it. It is awesome. It allows all kinds of movement. Pockets are fully accessible with harness on. Perfect performance for a low price. I am 6'1" and 150lb. Size M is a perfect fit for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weather resistant, flexible, and a ridiculous colour Worked well for me. Used as both a mid layer and an outer layer when things get warmer. Super easy to move in as the fabric stretches nicely, also breathable - was using this instead of my hardshell when temperature is warm and rain is light. Of course, if you buy the orange colour as I did, you wont want to wear it in town.
