Less boot more hightop shoe[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable, very flexible sole. Almost thin in the forefoot. Goretex is great, dry on many we days. Lacing system is relatively good. Grip is very poor in the wet and on roots. Excellent in more rocky conditions. Durably of sole is MUCH better than droplines. The ankle let's in alot of debris, wear pants or gaiters. If there were goretex dropline mids I'd wear those exclusively even though I'd wear through the soles every 6-9 months. They are that comfortable! I guess I'll have to settle for the ultras in the the wet.

6month Review, worn in Lawn Care industry.Bought these about six months ago the spots that quick fell apart are where the rubber comes down to a point. Sadly to the point now that its through 2 of the 3 layers. Forcing me to retire them before the season ends and go back to my old shoes. Everything else about thr shoe works good and even still has some tread left.

I am really loving the fast feel and great traction on these boots. Extremely nimble on the move. So far, I am really enjoying these for fast and light, big mileage days. Fit: they are more like a running shoe fit - slightly narrow through the boot and toe box. Support: Salewa is outstanding for ankle/heel comfort and support and these boots are no exception. Highly recommend these boots.

Been using these past few years, they are really light and great for different trail conditions. In Fall and Winter they get a lot of use on days when the snowpack is hard enough for a run or fast hike or even wet and muddy. Gore-Tex keeps the feet dry to, but the lightness of these is great and good traction too.

Perfect, lightweight, and grippyI purchased these flex mids for a recent hike in the Smoky Mountains near the Appalachian Trail. It was a 12 mile out and back with over 3000+ ft of elevation gain. The terrain ranged from curated to jagged and shaley. Lots of narrow and wet shale to negotiate and the grip on these performed beautifully (aided by trekking poles). That being said, I would probably limit hiking in these to shorter trips (9 miles max) and on less technical terrain as my feet were definitely feeling everything the last couple of miles. My Danner mids causes heel blisters on trails with lots of inclines, but the flex heel tech on these Salewas performed beautifully. Highly recommend for speed hiking, incline-heavy trails, slippery terrain, and 1-9 mile treks.

This is an awesome mid hiker for someone looking for a lightweight and flexible boot. There is plenty of support while still remaining nimble underfoot and the recent upgrades from the Ultra Flex 1 have greatly increased durability. It is one of my favorite boots of ours to recommend!

Fast and reliableI found my favorite hiking shoes at a great price, probably the best price on the web. I ordered them with no issues. I was kept informed on the delivery status and the arrived ahead of schedule in perfect condition. I highly recommend this company! The shoes are outstanding. Super comfy[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had these boys for a bit now. I have had the opportunity to use them for some light day hiking and trekking through the rainy backyard. I have found them comfortable, lightweight, and I really love the laces. They do have a narrow toe box but i have a narrow foot so it doesn't bother me.
