Had about 5 days out on these now, and I absolutely love them. The fit is true to size, and the speed laces are easy to adjust if you want a looser or tighter fit. I didn't have any problem with the laces loosening over several trail miles. Breathability is very good, although at the sacrifice of the upper feeling damp in the early morning dew/moisture (but they dried out quickly). Took them up 4th and lower 5th class rock , and the soles are quite grippy. They're definitely trail runners and not full approach shoes, but I was very impressed in (and thankful for) the scrambling performance. This is my third pair of Salewa's, and they are quickly becoming a go-to brand for me. Durability has been excellent.

Sick All Around HikerDisclaimer* - I work for the brand, but this is my honest opinion as a user.
I purchased the earlier version of this shoe years before my time with Salewa and it is still one of my favorite products the brand has ever made. I have used these for scramble approaches to climbs, casual hikes, backpacking trips, trail runs, and just about everything in between and have never been let down. The comfort is phenomenal for a shoe that does so much while still offering lots of support all around. My original pair is still going strong after 6+ years of heavy use and I expect the same amount of life out of my new pair as well.
Fits just a hair long.

Quality still there, even with changes.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shoe runs 1/2 size larger than Ultra 2. Change to lacing was a bit of a surprise, but they still hold well once adjusted. Old sole was great, but this new proprietary one is just as good.

Great grip. Water proof. I like the way the straps work for shoe laces, but I have to figure out where to put the slack when it is tied up.

Love these shoes! This is my third pair of Salewas and I love them all. These fit, great, have nice support, great traction, refreshing design, and look great. They also slip on nicely or cinch up but that is really needed and they look great. I get lots of compliments on them.

Horrible hiking shoe[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shoe has no traction on wet surface. Very slippery on flat ground and rocks. I turned my ankle twice. Absolutely would not recommend for walking anywhere.
