Sea to Summit ULTRA-DRY Down

Sea to Summit ULTRA-DRY Down
ULTRA-DRY Down is a treated insulator for Sea to Summit sleeping bags. ULTRA-DRY treated down repels moisture, so when your environment is damp, your gear stands a much better chance. The down will retain its loft, dry faster and is even anti-bacterial and anti-microbial, improving their life span. When conditions are bad, your bag doesn't have to be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and cozy! I bought this to use at remote work site man-camps in Alaska. That way I don’t have to sleep on the overly bleached sheets and use ratty blankets that a thousand other people have used (eww!). It’s awesome because of its versatility. I pull the cinch cord to keep the footbox closed and feet warm, but also sleep with it unzippped down to my ankles so I can regulate my heat. I also bring it home after the job so me and my wife can use it like a blanket to snuggle on the couch and binge watch TV shows together. This blanket/sleeping bag is now one of my most often used pieces of gear in my life - and I love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is Great! Started with the Spark SPI. It was a mummy style bag and I just could not get comfortable. Bought this and it is perfect. I am about 6 feet 230 pounds and I can move around in it. I like that you can unzip it all the way. The feet area is interesting. It is open, but you can pull cord the feet area closed. Same with the head area. At this point I consider it the ultimate sleeping bag. Packs down very small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super packable I can’t believe how small and light this bag is. I brought it on a month long camping trip where the overnight temps ranged from mid-40s to 90. It’s versatile because of the design of the bottom. I was comfortable on the colder nights just wearing my lightweight base layers in this bag. Easy to stuff in the sack and the compression straps on the sack make it even smaller. I will say that the only negative is the zipper sometimes caught on the fabric, which is really annoying when you have to get up in the midddle of the night. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect lightweight warmer weather bag! I had been looking for some time for a bag for ultralight backpacking that could be used in warmer weather. I hate being too hot in a bag, and the idea of venting it with lower and upper zippers isn't really a solution to me. But, in shopping for a warm weather bag, I could only find polyester fill bags with 50 degree ratings. Then I found this one. Bingo. I am very pleased with this bag. It has the treated down filling that is best for water resistance. It is well made, comfy and light weight. I read some other reviews that talked about the foot draw string having a cord clamp on it that was too loose. That is true. I changed it to my own cord clasp, and that solved the only problem. A great product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed product, nothing I wouldn't want. I bought this recently for my Appalachian Trail Thru-Hike. I will update you after some months on the trail. I feel like this is the bare minimum for a late summer hike, and I'm prepared to ship myself a warmer back and wear all my layers at night. However, with that being said, this is the lightest summer back for the money. I love how small the down insulation compresses, and the fact that it's coated down gives me reassurance that it won't be completely useless if it gets wet. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed This sleeping bag is perfect for my needs as a bike packer. It’s very light(11oz) and compresses down to the size of a water bottle. It’s great for warmer temperatures(50+). I mean let’s face it, we’re not bike touring in 30 degree weather so we do t need a warm sleeping bag. I use it more as a blanket than a bag. Great product Sea2Summit!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and packable. Bought this a month back. Haven't had the chance to check it out on the trail, but I have tested it with a pad. Comfortable, perfect for the temperature range and incredibly packable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
