Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tops for Commuting [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for winter riding. Like all Showers Pass gear, the quality is tops. Sewing is impeccable, and the design shows they really know their customers' needs. However, after trying it on I returned it in favor of the SP Elite 2.5 jacket. The Transit is just too bulky and has more features than I need. If I were still commuting by bike (I'm retired), this would be the one for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from much needed upgrade [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went on a 6 day bike trip recently and didn't have a proper rain jacket. Well, now i do and i couldn't be more pleased. This jacket meets all of the important standards. Waterproof, light visible and comfortable. It breathes pretty well also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As advertised [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fabulous jacket, just as advertised. It is great for cycling. Good reflective strips, breaths well, nice and bright. The drop down tail is an added benefit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Would be perfect if not for odd sizing I love the features and quality of this jacket. It has everything I want in a cycling jacket. The materials and workmanship are top notch. The bright color and reflective accents really stand out. And the seat flap is a nice touch that's easy to use. I've only worn it four times so far, all in non-rainy 25 to 35 degree F weather. The inside didn't get the least bit damp or clammy. In the same conditions my Columbia rain jacket would get dripping wet and a Novara cycling jacket would get barely damp . But I'm frustrated by three sizing problems. The main issue is the cuffs. They're way too small. I have to struggle for a couple of minutes to get the cuffs over my Planet Bike shell gloves. When it gets colder I will need to add liners inside of the gloves. It will be impossible to get the cuffs on this jacket over the gloves when I add the liners in my gloves. In contrast, my old Columbia and Marmot rain jackets provide gobs of room for gloves of any size. I've recently been borrowing a Novara cycling rain jacket and it too allows ample room for my gloves. The next sizing issue is the neck. With the main zipper fully up, the neck feels slightly tight. This is when I'm wearing only a zip up turtleneck thermal shirt. I'm concerned that I won't be able to fit a balaclava once it gets colder outside. Strangely, the chest is extremely roomy to the point that it looks baggy. In my opinion it's too roomy. The baggy chest is in direct contradiction to the skinny neck and cuffs. The zip vents are a little short. I wish they were longer. But this is just a personal preference. I haven't used the jacket enough to find out if the vents are adequate or not. I'm surprised at the sizing problems. I find that typically I'm a perfect fit in any men's large shirt or jacket. I'm 6' tall and 215 lb with a 42" chest and 15.5" neck. My wrists are either average or slightly thinner than average. I've never once in my entire life had a garment fit tightly in the wrists. Unfortunately I'll probably return this jacket due to the strange sizing.
