Lightweight sun and bug protection[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this as my base layer/everyday hiking shirt for a trip to Gates of the Arctic NP after I was not thrilled with the comfort of more traditional hiking shirts, knowing I'd likely have both a lot of sun and a lot of mosquitoes to contend with. I was right on both fronts, but this did the trick, and I came out free of sunburn and bites. Color should also serve me well in the woods closer to home, as any ticks picked up should show easily (although I expect the permethrin will perform well there, too).

This hoody is essential gear: it's meant to keep you cool and bug free. It works.This is the best. I wear it with bugstopper pants and fingertip-less gloves, and a wide brimmed hat. No bugs. No sunburn. Comfortably cool. No need for a neck gaiter. I wore it this morning, 7:30-12:00, with no mosquito bites or sunburn. It's amazing. I have the hood on (under the hat) and the long sleeves covering my arms and wrists. Full protection, and comfortable, start to finish. It is so worth the price. I got a 2nd one today with bugstopper and UPF30 sun protection. I fish at 7000'+ altitude and the sun can be brutal.

Exactly what I needed[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this several weeks ago because I am doing some construction projects in Hawaii and the mosquitos are relentless. This allows me to go out and work without slathering myself in DEET. Even though it's warm and very humid here, the fabric breathes well and is quite comfortable. Should the COVID crisis ever allow, I plan on testing it out in Arizona where we get monsoons and noseeums are a big problem.

Now I can concentrate on fishing and not swatting mosquitos & horse flies!I’ve been using this BugStopper hoodie almost daily for a couple of weeks now while fishing northern Wisconsin streams. During the day the deer flies and horse flies have been brutal and once the sun starts setting the mosquitoes emerge. I wasn’t sure I’d like a hoodie in July weather but it’s been amazing. I’m about 5’6”, 135# and the small is perfect. ZERO issue with bugs!

Bug stopper hoody /rogue fleece hoodyGreat shirt it’s just as lightweight and comfy as the rest of my solar flex shirts.
Also grabbed a new rogue fleece hoody, which is awesome. I believe it to be the 3rd gen of such, I would like to offer a suggestion on it. You guys should put some vents w zippers in the armpits on these it’d be an awesome feature to ad and you can charge a lil more for the item.

Repels the Alaska State BirdI bought this shirt for Coho fishing in Alaska and it has proven its claim to repel mosquitoes. The bugs are thick this time of the year but the coverage of this shirt on my skin in bite free. Waders cover the rest. I wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Protect YourselfGreat fitting and perfect when it’s hot or on the cool side of things. Much better than coating yourself with sun lotion or big spray to protect your skin. Have owned several of these hoodies from Simms and they just work:)
