Product Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressed! Simms does it again :) Purchased the Simms CX Jacket and Bibs in camo recently and have to say I am very impressed. The quality, as with the vast majority of Simms gear, is very good. Generally I have noticed a tell tale sign of quality with these higher end products are the zippers, seams and pocket layout and these are all strong. The jacket has plenty of pockets for storage without adding any bulk. Personally, I love the pattern. The fit is perfect - I am ~6' and 170 lbs, medium build and the Medium fits great for both - allowing for some additional layering but not overly baggy and length is good. Extremely pleased with the purchase, these will be perfect for days on water or land to block the wind or rain and allow room for layering on those cold midwest days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn’t Get Much Better Than CX So far this is the best rain jacket I’ve owned. I’ve owned gore-tex jackets and this is just as good. On a 65 mph run in 35 degree weather I couldn’t even feel the wind. This jacket is next level! I’m 5’8” 150lbs and the small fits perfectly. I can fit multiple layers under without feeling too cramped so it’s good all season.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Saturated and zippers leak This jacket does not "wick" water when it is a downpour for most of the day. The jacket feels saturated, heavy and cold. I wouldn't recommend placing anything in the front chest pockets as eater finds its way into the little hole where the zipper stops and fills your pocket full. Super disappointed in this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from checks all the boxes I had the Challenger before still do i make my living on the water as a fishing guide quality rain gear is a must have and this set checks all the boxes fits well roomy pockets light weight for summer use or with layers for when it gets cold and to me the old school camo print looks cool too

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough and Well Designed Love the Simms CX Jacket, well built, great fit. I am 6'2" 230lbs athletic build. The XL fits perfect and I can get a layer of long underwear top + fleece top under it on cold days. Waterptoof fabric is nice, seems very tough, welded seems. Cuffs velcro down across wrists which is nice

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst rain jacket to have for Guiding in one of the rainiest summers on record in Alaska Quite possibly the coldest rain jacket I've ever worn. It gets absolutely saturated, the pocket zippers when fully zipped allow water in from where the zipper ends and the upper pockets fill with water. Fly line snags on the velcro straps on the sleeves. Don't recommend .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Guide Approved If you are looking for a rain jacket that is tough enough for the elements when you’re out fishing when many others aren’t….? The CX Fishing Jacket is the best. Keeps you 100% dry and doesn’t restrict movement when casting all day long. Fits true to size and fits great.
