Rated 3 out of 5 by from So I really do like these pants, they are very comfortable, cool, dry quick, and durable (well for the most part durable). My only complaint would be the zipper areas. If this was addressed they would be 5 stars and I would not like them but I would love them. So what I am referring to is the zippers themselves and how they are bonded to the pants. The zipper pulls have broken and the entire zipper area has let go from the pants except on either end where it seems to be sewn into the pants. I would love to see this getting addressed because otherwise these pants are awesome they just need some upgrading.

I absolutely love my Simms Guide Pants, I wear them when wet wading in the summer and sometimes just when fishing local ponds, they are so comfortable. I used to wonder how durable they were however, and I learned the hard way on a recent guided fishing trip, when I accidentally tripped on a landing net and went down knee-first on the floor of he boat. When I got home, I had a pretty large scrape on my knee but my pants were undamaged, not even a scratch! So if you're looking for a quality pair of fishing pants, look no further than the Simms Guide Pants

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Run large in the waistband Nice style. Comfortable. They run large in the waist. I bought the large because I needed the 32 inseam. I wear a 33” waist jean. I was expecting the elastic in the waist to tighten them on the hip a little but it’s of use only if you are fatter. Simms pants seem to be designed for either shorter builds or those with greater than 20% body fat. I’m running them through the drier a few times to see if they shrink a little else they will need a belt which will reduce their comfort. Hence 4 stars only.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice pants indeed. The pants are nice, I was hoping the material would have been like the guide pants I bought years ago and just retired due requiring a smaller size. Material is much lighter, my fear too light but we will see if these have the same longevity as the former model. Still has great features, waist elasticity is nice, pockets good, fits according to the size. They dry fast and I like the colors they come in, consider producing an olive color in the future. Good job Simms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pants ever This is my third pair of these pants and I'll keep coming back. I wear these to work year round and they always look nice. One they get a little worn they are my go to everything pants- hike, fish, camp, garden etc. I wear them all the time. Good stain resistance and very tough for being nylon pants. I'm 5'7" 170 33" waist 30" inch inseam and the medium is a great fit. I recommend these highly and I continue to be impressed with the quality of Simms gear!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Small Legs These are cut more on the thin side in the legs. If you have skinny legs, you'll be fine. I'm 6'1", 215 with an athletic build with a 33" waist. Ordered a pair in M. Waist is a perfect fit, but the legs are literally skin tight. Disappointing. It would be very helpful to have regular cut / relaxed fit / etc on the description. Overall quality is what you expect from Simms, but the cut is just too much on the "slim fit" side for me in the legs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from surprising versatility Though I haven't used them fishing yet (don't guide much in the winter!), I can tell these may be my new favorites! The fit is great and I really like the structured, flexible, waistband; the pocket layout works well and the stretch material is comfortable. I did originally buy these for guiding/fishing, the factors mentioned above and the weight of the material (a little heavier than I had imagined) make them a great all around pant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Guide Pants I'm on the stout side so the XXL fit my 42in waist spot on. However, I did have to take the pants to have the 34in pant leg hem adjusted. Had them put some HD plastic snaps to taper the the leg for waders. I wish this was a regular thing for Simms pants. I do like the weight of these pants since they are heavier than the super light pants but not anywhere as heavy as chino cotton. One more small pocket would be nice too.

HOW to MEASURE
HIP: Stand in a natural stance, measure the fullest part of the hips.

WAIST: Measure the smallest part of your waist, usually just above your belly button.

INSEAM / PANT LENGTH: See Take your favorite pair of pants or jeans and lay them flat. Measure along the inside inseam from the bottom of the crotch to the end of the pant leg. If you dont have a fabdric measuring tape, use a piece of string or dental floss, then hold it against a ruler. This is your inseam and what we mean by "garment measurement".
