I’ve got 8 hanging in my closet and I’ve worn out just as many. I live in these shirts all summer but found they make excellent first layers during the winter as well when teaching skiing. I have not found a better arrival of clothing that wicks moister away from your skin like these shirts do. No other similar product out there even comes close to the comfort and functionality of these shirts.
I love the hooded ones for the absolute best sun protection. Throw on a solar flex face buff and your dermatologist will love you. Don’t ever stop making them please. Thank you for making such an incredible shirt. Can’t imagine spending any time outside without one on.

Profoundly comfortable, super versatileGot this because I wanted something lighter than the traditional button-up fly-fishing shirt. Fished the San Juaquin in Mammoth with it this weekend. Morning started at 49 degrees and this shirt kept me warm on the 2-mile hike. Finished at 88 degrees and still felt cool after hiking back out. Kept it on while mountain biking that afternoon. The hood easily went over my UCLA baseball hat and kept my face out of the sun and my neck free of bug bites. I am 5' 11", 175 lbs with an athletic build - I bought a medium and it fits perfect; not too tight, not baggy. And my dermatologist is proud of me.

Comfy cozy and blocks the rays[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took this hoody to Tampa, FL recently for some Red fishing and it was awesome. Comfortable and blocked the sun. The hood was a huge bonus. Don't forget to apply sunblock to your hands though!

Favorite lightweight hoodyI have purchased several lightweight hoody shirts from Simms as well as other manufacturers. I live/fish in an environment that is very hot in the Summer. i also prefer to use these types of shirts when I fish for bonefish. I enjoy the ability to just pull the hoody over my hat and feel less worried about having to reapply sunscreen. Of all the hoodies (6) I have purchased, this is my favorite. It is light, breathable, cool and keeps the sun off my skin.

My new favorite[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in direct sun at least 3 days a week, fly fishing, and I have Nordic skin that is vulnerable to burning. I’ve found that good clothing offers the best protection while making it possible to pursue my love of the outdoors. The Simms Hoody is excellent protection, especially my arms and ears, and comfortable as an undershirt on cool days and as my only shirt on hot days. It is my new favorite.

Only offshore shirt I will wearBest boat shirt ever.! Cooler than a tank top or a t-shirt and no sunburn. Also, if you need to cool off, get the super light pant with this shirt and pap ray yourself with fresh water and you will cool off substantially. DONT put salt water on them, the pants will get stiff. If you do get salt water on, do a quick rinse with fresh water and they are good!

Simms Men's SolarFlex Hoody[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this hoody to take on a fishing trip to the Texas coast. I also purchased two SolarVent hoodies for both of my boys. The SolarFlex, which I wore, was excellent. I used it while fishing from a kayak and it kept the sun off and the breeze cool. I will definitely be buying another.

Great comfortable sun protection while keeping you cool.This is the fourth one of these I've purchased. Cant be beat for sun protection in dry or humid environments. Lightweight, easily machine washable, comfortable and durable. Runs slightly large so you can throw it on top of a t-shirt, or share with friends. I always keep an extra in the truck.
