Product Reviews

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I want to love this product so bad... I recently pulled the trigger on the beautiful maroon color way of this top. Fit is great if you size up (L fits like a M in Intraknit) , look is amazing (better than non-Intraknit), and warmth is spot on for smartwool clothes. All of these great attributes made the durability letdown even more disappointing. I wore this shirt twice under a fleece around the house. There were at least 30 pulled threads all over the wrist cuffs and bilaterally near the waist. I didn't even get to wash it :( This would be the perfect piece if it had any durability whatsoever. Returned it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surpasses the hype. I want a second one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What can I say? This innovative base layer lives up to the hype. It has kept me warmer than I expected but also releases my excess heat remarkably well. It's high breathability actually helps keep you warmer as you don't ever really get sweaty, then wet, then cold. It's sizing is right on the money, great comfort and stretch. You never want to take it off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent product but poor longevity Use it for weightlifting in the garage in winter and running as base layer. Fits well and looks good but snags on very little thing from the smallest velcro to slightly rough knurling. It's only suitable if you wear it underneath other clothes and never expose it to anything but your skin.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT DURABLE The durability was a real issue. Within a month it was fraying at the stomach and shoulders and by the second month there were a lot of small holes wearing on the top knit layer. I followed the directions and didn't wash it frequently and it was worn under a down jacket with a very smooth fabric so I'm not sure why it was fraying so rapidly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Base Layer on the Planet This is the best base layer on the planet for any cool or cold weather activity. It's impressively warm, and has incredible comfort range in temperature or activity swings. Whether you wear this alone, under GoreTex in the rain, or down in the cold, it will compliment it. I've worked in the outdoor industry and tried many, many base layers. This doesn't only outperform anything synthetic, even the highest quality garments, it's outperforms other wool or natural garments as well. It's the best wool base layer, or base layer, on the planet, period.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of the best Base Layers I've ever owned [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best fitting base layer I've ever owned. The Slim fit hugs the body in all the right places without feeling too tight and moves perfectly with the body in outdoor activities. It is very comfortable to wear all day long and kept me warm in subzero temperatures. The durability has been good thus far, but I have yet to put it to heavy use. Only downside for me is the odor resistance is not as good as the NTS 250 baselayer, as this is a merino and polyester blend #SmartwoolLove

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is extremely warm and comfortable. I use it for running, and it has kept me comfortable on 20 degree runs all on its own. It wicks sweat pretty well, but I am sweating a bit more than expected when wearing it. I should probably invest in a lighter version as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost there but not quite Okay so this is a great product, feel nice and keep warm without overheating. I am 6'3 weighing 175, athletic thin build. I went with a large. It fits nicely, not tight or snug but not too large either. Gonna say this would be better if it wasn't so fragile.
