The Smartwool Men's Merino 250 Jogger Bottom is a merino wool pant for relaxing all weekend long. The 250 weight is best in cool to cold weather, so once fall hits and flows into winter, they're officially you're go-to. The soft elastic waistband is a joy post-Thanksgiving meals, not squeezing too tight and allowing for extra room. Down at the cuff, the jogger style brings it in close to the ankle, preventing drafts so you can go slippers-no-socks.

Product Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very comfortable, would recommend I recently purchased these and it's obvious they are well made, thick wool and they feel great. I ordered a medium and I am 32x32 pants for reference. The waist band is interesting, the waist band isn't too tight so they work well for wearing for extended periods of time. I have two complaints, the crotch is a little to deep, so the waist band has to run up a little higher on my body than I would prefer resulting the the bottom half being a little short. I'd also say that they look more like pajama bottoms with the non-functional highlighted crotch stitching which makes me think twice about wearing these in public, these fall right on the edge unfortunately for me to wear in public.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never taking these pants off Got these pants today, they are ultral comfortable and look super nice. They seem a little bit too much like pajamas to really wear out, although they are so comfortable I can totally see myself running to the grocery store with these on. 10/10 lounge wear, 7/10 street wear. The crotch is a little baggy on me but that only makes them more comfortable to lounge in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm wool joggers with some flaws These pants are warm and comfortable. I took them backpacking and I was comfortable below freezing in them layered under lightweight wind pants. The jogger style (tighter ankles to prevent drafts) let me tuck them into my socks and sock liners easily, but make them hard to layer under tighter pants compared to tights. Essentially, I can layer the merino 250 joggers under loose fitting pants but not jeans or sweatpants. In the future, I would go for the merino 250 tights for backpacking, as they're significantly lighter and easier to layer under pants. The joggers have the advantage in that I can wear them casually as opposed to tights, which are good for exercise and layering. However, here's where my two chief complaints arose: the waistband is only elastic, with no drawcord to cinch. I'm concerned that the waist will become increasingly loose when I wash it a few times, and the smartwool pattern makes them seem more like long underwear and less like sweatpants. Also, the pockets and fly use a stitching that is noticeable in its photos. The pockets are useful but the simple, ornamental stitching over the fly made these pants far more casual than they need to be, reducing their utility for me significantly. Overall, these pants are mainly offering a looser fit of the merino 250 material that is plenty comfortable and useful to me as a backpacker to some degree. Hopefully a future iteration can fix the waistband and fly stitching, and slimmer sizes are available (I'm 6', wear 31"-32" pants, weigh 150lb and got the size medium. It's probably an inch too short on my leg, but the waistband is too loose and not adjustable) While I have a number of complaints, the quality merino 25 is quite warm and these keep me comfortable as a base layer for winter camping. I would recommend to anyone less skinny than me; my dad at 5'8 and 180lb likes the fit of the size medium as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best lounge pants ever! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product mostly for lounging around and taking my dog to the park when it's a bit chilly in the mornings. I love how comfortable these pants are and the fabric feels amazing. I also appreciate how comfortable the waistband is. I would highly recommend these pants

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants are awesome. Smartwool makes pretty good quality wool garments. Some might find smartwool a tad scratchy compared to the ultra high end brands like outlier and loow. I find the wool is perfectly fine for me. These pants are great and I have been wearing them often since I purchased. A few things to note: I wear XL in pretty much everything and these are just the slightest bit loose. These have no draw string, so your normal size might be too loose. With the gray pair, the waistband is black- making these look a bit like pjs if the band isn’t covered up. Overall I recommend for the short term as they are extremely comfortable; we’ll see how these hold up in the long term.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Lounge Pant I was looking for a pair of comfortable lounge pants as late fall settles in here in New England. I'm normally not one for elastic around the ankles, but these feel just right. Night one with them and the sweetie is already trying to claim them as her own. Love em and would absolutely recommend em.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The comfiest! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these as "work pants" (I work from home) and haven't taken them off since they were delivered! They're extremely soft and I appreciate the pockets. I ordered size medium which fit good for my 5'11" frame, but I would get large if you're taller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All the time bottoms [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear these to sleep. I wear them to lounge around the house. I wear them to run errands. I wear them to meet friends at coffeeshops. I should have bought 3 more when they were on sale. Warm, comfortable, durable and functional.
