The Smartwool Men's Merino Sport 150 LS 1/4 Zip Top is a versatile long sleeve for cool to warm weather activity. Constructed from a blend of merino wool and polyester, this layer is designed to wick moisture, regulate temperature and resist odors. The athletic fit is ready to move when you do and the flatlock seams with offset shoulder and side seams won't rub here nor there. Even when wearing a pack. Adjust your internal temp more quickly with the opening or closing of the 1/4 zip and push through the remaining miles, be it on bike, foot or skis.
Products on Sale are Discontinued Styles or Colors.

Poorly Fitting - Poorly Designed GarmentI have over 40 Smartwool long sleeve tops and this one is quite frankly an embarrassment to Smartwool. The "flatlock" shoulder seams are not positioned properly causing the shoulders to pucker and not lay flat. Not only does it look bad but it is annoying and effects the overall fit. My significant other is a technical clothing designer with over 30 years experience in very large companies and I asked her what was up with this. She explained it was an issue with design. There is nothing that can be done ... it was a waste of $95.00

Great product, but has fit issues.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Body mapped mesh zones were quite effective. Soft against the skin for all day wear. Didn't get itchy once! I decided to wear this right out of the packaging and found it to have a boxy fit that was looser than my personal preference for a base layer. To be fair I tend to prefer a directly next to skin fit for my base layers. There was not enough taper to the wrist which cause the garment to feel like I was wearing bangles on my wrist. This looseness did allow the garment to move freely under my mid layers and not bind when moving other layers around the garment. Any fit issues disappeared under a mid or outer layer. The sizing and cut did get better after washing the garment. The garment trimmed up a bit and the left sleeve and wrist became more comfortable. The right wrist will hopefully snug up with more laundering. The squareness of the shoulders also doesn't fully lie flat against the skin. Not something I'm too concerned about, but did notice the lack of smooth lines. Wicked moisture and dried super quick in spring skiing conditions. #SmartwoolLove

Great active base layerI bought this shirt for Backcountry skiing and after a few tours I'd say it works exactly as expected based on the other smartwool shirts I own; light, comfortable, breathable and wicks very well. The only other comment I would make for other buyers is that if fits bigger than the 2 other size medium smartwool shirts I own. I'm 5'9" and 155 if I wanted it to be snug I could have gotten a small but I like the looser fit

Red is actually more a maroon; XXL runs smallI purchased this sweater (150 1/4 zip) on the Sockaddict website. I allowed for shrinkage by purchasing an XXL knowing that there would be shrinkage across all washing styles. The sweater shrank down to about a size "L". Its hard to plan for shrinkage with Merino wool. It will always shrink up. I think these sweaters are designed to fit smaller, thinner people. I believe that all Merino wool products should be cut larger to allow for shrinkage. No one wears the size as it comes out of the package.

I will buy this product again!I use this top for hiking, rock climbing and scuba diving (wear inside drysuit along with other garments). It fits great, is lightweight and very comfortable. It moves well during rigorous activities.
