Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love everything except the weirdly tight waistband These pants are nearly perfect- the 150 weight wool is soft yet durable, warm, perfect length- the drawback is the wide oddly tight waistband which makes these a little uncomfortable and a lot unflattering. Will still wear and use but really disappointed in what would have otherwise been awesome baselayer

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love, except the low rise waist. I like that these fit tight but not uncomfortabley. I also love the weight they are perfect for hiking, working outside without getting too warm. The only thing I don't like is they ride low on the waist, so low theat when I bend down I need to hike them back up constantly. If the waist band was a bit higher they would be perfect, but such a pain to constantly hike them back up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Liked the fabric, but not the waistband I liked how lightweight the fabric is and how it felt on. However, I really didn't care for the waistband and had to return it. The waistband hugs you too close and since I have a little extra around the belly area, it gave me a bulge (obviously something no woman wants!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend!! I wore this as a base layer during a snowboarding excursion, and winter hiking in the Canadian Rockies. The temperature ranged between -9 and 5 degree celsius, and I stayed comfortable the entire time. For snowboarding where we encountered the colder temps, I wore this with only a waterproof snow pant over it and stayed warm all day every day. I got a little warm in them when hiking in the higher temps, but taking off the outer pant layer kept me comfortable. I would highly recommend this base layer!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable These are awesome, very comfortable, great length not to long for us short people. They are not itchy at all, kept me warm on my hike without being too hot. I was worried about the waistband being uncomfortable as said by other reviewers, but I did not find that to be an issue for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Waistband too tight, fabric isn't durable I wanted to like these, but as a lot of other people have said...the waistband is ridiculously tight and uncomfortable! I'm short with a thin build, and the website told me a small would be the best size, but I went with the medium after reading what reviewers said about the waistband. Even the medium is too tight in the waist! It fits fine everywhere else, even a little loose in some areas. But the waistband is just unnecessarily constricting. To top it off, I have only worn mine a few times and washed them just once...air drying not tumble drying...but there are already two small holes that have formed in the fabric. (I haven't snagged them on anything.) I think that's really sad for how expensive they were. At this rate they will not even last a month. The only pros are that they are really warm for how thin the fabric is, and the fabric itself feels nice and soft. I'm just really disappointed in the lack of durability and the terrible fit of the waistband. I would not buy these again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could wear these all day, every day! These baselayer bottoms are so comfortable and soft. I could live in these! Long enough that don't ride up the ankle with movement and they feel "flexible" enough to move with your body and won't stretch out too much over time (I hope not!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best there is! I could not live without Smart Wool. I wear it all winter for skiing and on an everyday basis. I have been wearing it for years and am always telling others that it is the best around. Last forever.
