Product Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Slight improvement I was hoping this would be an improvement over the last 150 tee and closer to the iteration before that. What kills the cut is the raglan sleeve that flares at the arm and leaves excess draping in the underarms. The upside is it seems longer and fits in the torso more than the last design and they got rid of the elastic collar and sleeves that didn't hold up very well after washes. Still not sold on the wrap around side seam as it just became more of a pain to fold as time went by. Will still always long for the crew neck design with the flat lock seams that came in the box as those held up so much better. Searching elsewhere for new everyday tees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for travel [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this shirt in 4 colors for travel. I wanted a looser fit as I planned to wear it as a shirt and not a base layer so I bought one size larger than usual. Very pleased with styling of shirt and fit. I washed them in the washer on a normal cold wash cycle and hung to dry. The black one had some shrinking in both length and width but the other 3 colors seemed to be pretty close to the prewashed size. The fabric is soft and I am looking forward to wearing them in warmer weather for travel. Would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Funkify by Defunking I am a sweaty and stinky person and I am a backpacker. I am a Smartwool junkie. Merino wool is the only fabric that allows me to enjoy hot, sweaty, prolonged outdoor fun without getting funky. I can wear a shirt 3-4 days backpacking without washing it--which is needed mostly because it's salty-stiff, not stinky. Same goes for socks (Note - never share a tent with synthetic sock wearers...). I used to see a lot about wool's super-special antimicrobial properties. Nowadays the literature weaves a scientific tale about how wool's amazing vapor-wicking fiber structure doesn't allow the time to build up bacteria. OK, whatever. I don't really care. What I know is that wool is cool. Wool is warm. Wool doesn't stink. Spend the money. Get rid of the funk and enjoy more Funky Time in the desert, in the mountains, at the beach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the fit. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm excited to have this versatile shirt. I can use it as an undershirt when it's chilly but it looks nice enough to wear as a top on its own with jeans, shorts or skirts. I give it 5 starts for the finished look and fit. I'm 5'4" and 145. I bought an XL as I wanted a relaxed fit and it is just right...not too big.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile layer or on its own! Love these! I have a couple of the older short sleeved t's with the set in sleeves so wasn't sure I would like this raglan sleeve but it is very nice and flattering! Excellent layer piece or worn alone, nice fit through the torso. The light weight is perfect for travel and can be worn in warm weather or under something in cooler weather and the light weight wool is a natural anti-microbial. This fabric is easy to wash in a sink and dries quickly. Please keep making 150 base layer T's both short & long sleeved as well as the hoodies. I will be taking two of the short sleeved t's, one long sleeve, as well as the 150 pullover hoody on a trip to Ireland and Scotland in May. I am 5' 7", 125 lbs. with 34" bust - I ordered a small and it is drapes nicely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great light base layer, looks fab! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great base layer, beautiful light blue color, and true to its word, it kept me very warm on a day where it turned out I didn't need as much layering as I thought, but the sweat wicked right through! If there was any shortcoming, it's that it is a tad itchy and the tags are really annoying, but those issues are easily solved (I hope) with washing it a few times and removing the tags. I bought a large to have a little room in the 40DD area, and I love the fit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sneaky nice [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear these for travel in the fun colors and I also wear these to work in basic colors with dress pants and a necklace ( doctors office). Never stink and I never overheat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No merino beats SmartWool [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a huge SmartWool fan for everything from winter sports base layers, neck wraps, and hats to casual hoodies and sweaters. I hadn’t yet purchased a short-sleeved 150 base layer top because I already owned two other merino short-sleeved tops made by other companies — but they just didn’t fit or perform as well as SmartWool, so I finally bought this top. Love the fit, quality, and color — just far superior to other brands and worth the money.
