Rated 2 out of 5 by from Toes Too Thick These were described as no-cushion but there is cushioning on top(!!) of the toes that takes up too much toe room in my shoes. I have a narrow sz 10 foot but the large sock was too short to stay on at the heel. My old PhD ultra lights had no cushioning and wore like iron. These new ones are going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Basically the perfect socks [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these about a month ago and have worn them a bunch. They keep my feet cool and supported on long walks and hikes. They wick moisture and dry quickly, too. I can't speak for durability as I've only had them a few weeks now but I always wash them in garment bags and air dry them as my previous experience with smartwool is that they last longer if treated gently in the wash (which cracks me up since in wearing it treat them quite the opposite). Bonus: they're super cute.

After trying many socks and never being able to find the right pair that combined comfort, durability, and sweat resistance this is the best pair of socks...EVER. I cannot tell you how happy I am with these socks and have told all my running partners, family, and friends these are must have socks! Thank you for a great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Size problems I got three pairs of socks for Christmas. They were all size large, even printed on the inside of the ankle, but only one of them fit. My mother bought all of them at EMS, who let us exchange them. The gray with orange were definitely medium sized; I have wide feet and it crushes all my toes together. There other socks were of a slightly different model to these, but the same as each other. The black ones fit, the blue ones were far too long. I kept the black ones and exchanged the blue and the gray/orange for two more pairs of these in different colors. I checked the fit before I left the store; they were fine. I don't care if the sizing is accurate, so long as it's consistent. It took me a while to figure out that I needed to get large socks because my feet are very wide. They're only a 7.5 so I initially bought mediums, but they were only comfortable when I'm standing because my feet are also D width. Okay, get large, that's easy. Except all of the sudden 2 out of 3 large PhD socks aren't large, but somehow the medium *and* large margaritas fit? Seriously, just make the size the same across the board.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely disappointed I have purchased several pairs of these ultra light micro socks in the past, but the socks in the order that I just received are of an inferior quality. The light grey with orange heel and toe, in particular, will not stay up on my heel and constantly slide down into the shoe. It seems like the opening isn't tight enough or they run small or both. I'm very disappointed because the only socks I wear are smartwool. I won't be buying these again.
