Rated 3 out of 5 by from Would not repurchase this style One of my main gripes is my own fault: the lack of "padding" on the upper part of the foot really makes a difference in how warm the socks are...so keep that in mind. Had I known this, I wouldn't have bought them. I don't really mind this on dressier looking pairs, but these are pretty hearty looking, so I'm going more for warmth. My other gripe is something that Smartwool should address: the socks launder poorly. I wash them in cold, inside of a lingerie bag, and then lay flat to dry and the amount of lint that is created and the pilling of fibers indicates that this sock is mostly likely not made from longer, higher quality fibers: which means it won't wear as well, or as long as socks made from longer fibers, and will pill in the process.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Women's Saturnsphere socks They are still good socks, but not as thick or soft as the ones I bought 7 years ago. Seems like whenever companies have a good product, they eventually change the item by skimping on quality for profit. Sadly, it appears these socks have met the same fate.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from First disappointment I love my smart wool socks. I own between 20 to 25 pair of them. In fact, I have gotten rid of all the other brand of socks that I had owned. In the last year, I have had one pair fray at the top and this pair split in the toe seam on both socks. For the price of these socks, I expect them to last more than 2 or 3 wearing's before I notice flaws in them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NOTHING like the virgin tread of Smartwool socks Hold onto your socks, because if you purchase these bad boys they will be knocked off. If you're not wearing any, and that's why you're buying a pair from the smartwool website, hold onto your feet. I. Look. SO good. I literally look so good. These socks wick sweat like thats its job (which it kinda is, but it does it). They are warm, but not hot. I wore them snowboarding, and I wore them home from the airport, and I wore them to school. I can't tell which is my favorite. What a look this is. Compliments? Out the wazoo. What. An. Investment. Speaking of investment, you should too. Buy these socks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LESS WOOL, TERRIBLE SOCKS!!!!!!! WISH THE COMPANY DOESN'T CUT DOWN THE WOOL! A FEW YEARS AGO, IT USED TO BE 90% WOOL, 8% NYLON, 2 % ELASTIC. NOW IT IS ONLY 67% WOOL, 32% NYLON, 1% ELASTIC. THESE SOCKS ARE TERRIBLE! VERY COARSE TO WEAR. NOT THE OLD PAIRS I HAVE!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I was a huge fan of the old off-white ultra light hiking crew socks which, unfortunately, were discontinued. They were exceptionally soft and comfortable inside. I thought I'd give these a try, but the inside is a large terry- like material which is very irritating to my sensitive feet. I had to give these away.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love this sock, please add oranges and greens! Hey Smartwool- women don't all want to wear purple and pink. Love this sock for comfort, but it's hard to find a women's sock in this or the Jovians that doesn't contain one or the other or a hideous bright blue. I had to go to the men's section to get the colors I wear- orange, brown and kelly green. Also, could you work on reinforcing the heel? I always get holes there first. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy Padding, Perfect for Every Day [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live where there are winters, but I also learned the wonderful feel of Smartwool socks year round. I wear these with my regular shoes and boots, even sneakers, to keep my feet warm or cool, dry and fresh. These particular socks have some padding at the bottom which is great for days I'm on my feet a lot, yet they are thin enough to fit inside my shoes. I love that they come in varied sizes, and they fit my size 10-11 foot! I haven't had them long, so I don't know about durability. Washed them and they keep shape, though I never over dry my wool socks.
